We stayed there just after it opened and I fell in love with their wedding gazebo then when I wasn't even enaged. Excellence Resorts have really ruined us. First Class service all the way.

We are counting on Casual male as we have seen 2 shirts there like I described. This weekend we are heading down to the States to see if they still have them available. They will do, but if there is something better out there I hope someone can suggest it. Who would have thought buying my wedding gown was easier then dressing the groom!

Hi Everyone, I am wondering if anyone can recomend a store that sells Big and Tall menswear that will work for a Mexico wedding? We are looking for my fiance to get a white (whiteish) Hawaiian type shirt to go with khaki pants in around a size 5X. We are Canadians but have family is the US we can send it to if we have to purchase online.

The 2nd one is my fav. Oh and yes, beware of the wind for sure especially if you are close enough to the water as you just never know when a big gust will come along.

Congrats! I am getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres across the way in Setp 2010! Isla is so beautiful and unique. I bet you will have plenty of great places for pics. My favourite place to visit when I am there is the turtle sanctuary!

Wow, this thread has been an eye opener for me as I am not sure how much I am willing to spend on pics. My fiance could probably care less as long as we have a few nice ones, but I would like a few more than that. This might sound dumb, but the cds they usually give you, are you able to print off pics from those or not?

My MOH is has celiacs and my hotel (Excellence Playa Mujeres) told me the chef would meet with her the first day and look after all her meals. This way a huge load of my mind as I don't want her to feel left out.

I am getting married on Sept 16/2010 at Excellence Playa Mujeres just outside of Cancun. So far we only only bought my dress and invitations. Off to go and buy my groom some Carribean wear this weekend!

This is my second time around and I am not getting a shower. My MOH refuses to throw me one since I was married before. Of course that was over 10 years ago and she was not one of my friends at the time. It kind of bothers me. I also get the feeling it is due to her being bitter that I getting married and she is not since she seems to be playing that card quite often. My fiance thinks she should still throw me one but I don't want to push the issue.

We are having a larger engagement party too due to our destination wedding. Basically people understand this due to the fact that they will not be travelling to our wedding in Cancun. If we were millonaires it would be a different story and I would have everyone come, but that is just not in the books.

I am a 2nd time bride to be in Sept 2010. We decided on a DW due to the fact we love to travel plus we did not want to spend oodles of money. My first wedding was so stressful and really got out of hand. I vowed never to go through that again. To me the real dream is basically just showing up with my dress and have an easy breezy ceremony with no worries.

My whole wedding party is in the air. We have a less then 20 person guest list for Cancun. The best man and maid of honor keeping changing their plans on coming due to work issues and such. It is so frustrating to plan. Do we get him / her attire, do we sub in people? We are prepared to not have anyone it just frustates me when people can't commit!

I am having a less than 20 person wedding and and not setting an itinerary. Basically I want a stress free wedding and don't want my guests tied down to times I have set except for the actual ceremony and reception dinner. Let the free for all begin and this is their holiday too!

This is a great idea! I still have not made up my mind but this is on the list for sure.
