No, I just had one of our friends who is a DJ to make different CD's for us. I will have 4 total: one for the welcome gathering, the ceremony, cocktail, and wedding dinner. We are having a reggae band after the rehearsal dinner and a DJ during the reception after dinner.

Tina, I understand what you are saying, but I am holding my cocktail hour on the lobby terrace right outside of the lobby bar. This way people can just go and get their own drinks if they want to at no extra cost to us. If some want to stay with us while we take pictures at the ceremony area they can, but then we plan to migrate around the resort for unique candid shots and at that point they can go up to the lobby terrace. We will have pre-recorded jazz music playing and they can relax or go and freshen up and either way we are ok because we would not have spent a penny : )! Nikki

Hey Tina, No, I haven't seen any weddings set up. I thought you were just talking about the overall decor and feel of the restaurants. I do know that Lisa had her rehearsal dinner there and Ms. Smith is thinking about having her actual reception there. Lisa is really sweet and she will answer any questions you have regarding that particular location. I am having my dinner at the Gourmet and then we are moving on to the Jazz Room for the actual dance/reception. Alot of people want to stay in one place and that is totally understandable so you have to think about what is best for you and your group. We are only having a total of 25 people attending.

Yes that is a good idea because several brides have said that they extended their time because dinner ran over or they were having such a good time dancing that the time slipped away. Nicole did not seem to have any issues with it up to 11:30 if I am not mistaken.

No, she hasn't because she was a little under the weather once she returned. If you have simple questions you can go ahead and ask her and she will answer. I am also patiently awaiting her review because she is a very thorough person and I know it will be awesome! You did not like the decor at the Calabash Gourmet?

Did you get your bouquet from the flower shop that the Suites works with or did Gofrey create it for you? If you used the hotel florist let me know if you paid more for that particular bouquet. I agree! That is why I asked because one of the ex brides actually told me to only hire them for 10 minutes because 20 minutes was too long. I wanted your opinion because there have not been a lot of ex brides to use fire dancers. It is good to know that someone else shares my vision:).

Kimberly, Hey sweetie! I know it is hard, but try not to get frustrated. I was so upset at one point that I was going to switch resorts. Then, I found out how hard that young lady (Nicole) works from my travel agent who visits Iberostar Suites and Grand resorts on a regular basis. Now, on top of that, it is wedding season!!!! You have to be patient because it might take a few weeks for her to get back with you, but ask the ex brides or even some of us, "the in the near future brides", and I promise you will find your answer:). It will all work out!

Did she happen to say how long the performance would last for the two dancers at $250?

Virgo, Do you have pictures that we can see or you can send them to me at [email protected]. Please tell me how the dj and violinist worked out because I want both. Did you have to have a cd for the d.j. or did you just let him do his thing and let people request songs? Imuze also used Tai......so we can use them through the hotel with Nicole if we want to instead of Studio? Thanks girl, Nikki

Hey Kimberly, Please don't fret because Nicole really does have her hands full. From what I understand she also performs additional duties at the hotel . I was very concerned in the beginning and actually considered switching resorts because I thought it was so rude for her to ignore me, but I realized that I was being silly and she really is a sweet person....I promise you are making the right decision regarding having your wedding at the Suites, but you have to be patient with her. Also, it does not help that it is currently the peak of the wedding season. It will all work out! Nikki
