  1. Â Â The first pair I'm wearing for my ceremony and reception on the beach. Our colors are purple and blue. In person they are more purple. The second pair is for the church wedding I'm have back home in Janunary. My engagment ring is rose gold so these shoes are perfect!!!
  2. We registered just before our engagement party for the same reason. Pleople ended up getting us things we really wanted.
  3. Jes - I'm happy it all worked out fro you today! I can only imagine how stressful its been. Â Lisa - did you get re-booked yet? Â On a happy note, my dress came in!!!! Now to figure out the day that works for my mom and 3 sisters to come with me to the first fitting )
  4. Well my mom is flying mexicana but operated by AA so she doens't have any changes but ours where regular Mexican flights so they are now cancelled. I would check with your TA or call them directly to be sure. Â good luck Â
  5. Sorry I've been M.I.A.; I've been really busy with work and wedding planning. Â My TA called me this morning and told me about Mexicana which is the airline that we were flying. She switched our flights to Jet Blue going and AA coming back and we are actually saving almost $300! The flight times are pretty much the same times so we are ok with the change but none the less it was un-needed stress! Only issue is the my TA said that I need to file a complaint with my cc company to get my money back from Mexicana. Â Hope it works out for everyone else who booked with them Â
  6. I actually went to both Pronovias and Kleinfelds. Service was great a both the places. Pronovias had beautiful dresses that were light weight and at a great price, the most expense dress I tried on was $2,000. They also seem to always have trunk shows going on so then you get an extra discount. They didn't rush me at all. 2 weeks later I went to Kleinfelds, there I also had a wonderful experience and I found my dress!! They really know what they are doing. They tell you to bring in pictures of your top dresses which I did based on the price range they provide on-line. When I showed my consultant the dresses she was like "you have great taste but they are $4,000" which was double my budget. She said the price ranges on their website isn't always correct so keep that in mind. I still had the pictures from magazines that I liked and she was great she got my taste right away and the first dress she put me in was the one I purchased!! Even other brides and strangers were telling me it looked perfect. I was worried about the price; my mom was paying for it and I felt bad having her pay for it even though she was soo happy to do that for me so I didn't buy it that day! I told them I would think about it. Well the next day I couldn't stop thinking about the dress and went back. It was the weekend and they were very busy. They were very nice and accommodating, I waited just a little while and then they put me in a room and took my measurements. I had wonderful experiences at both places and I hope you do too!! Oh and funny thing is that I have friends who are consultants at both salons and thought it was crazy I didn't have them be my consultant. LOL
  7. Jes I think it will work out just fine, esp since you are doing food stations. Everyone will pretty much know eachother enough by then since its a vacation for them so I don't think anyone will feel wierd sitting with each other. ) Thats sooo great you are having that many guests!! I might be mistaken but weren't you doing the reception at kool beach or was that someone else?
  8. Hi Ladies! So I finally got some answers from Elsa, after I sent her the email from Julie 2x's she said they would honor the 3 choices for the entree as long as I give them the amounts of each choice before hand. She told me she had to speak to her manager but in the end it worked out. So that issue is resolved! Now the next battle will be the cocktail hour, I haven't even touched on that subject. She also confirmed that DJ Ivan is booked!! I wanted to move up my ceremony from 3:30 to 3 since its November now I'm afraid we won't have enough light out for the pictures, still waiting on that confirmation but hopefully they can do it. Jess - we are going to do the sweetheart table too!
  9. Time to vent!!! So Elsa is my WC and she takes a week to answer the most simple questions I have. I'm already waiting 2 weeks for her to confirm the DJ as this was the last this I did with Julie so I wanted to be sure it was done. Then she tells me I can only choose 2 entrees but Julie said I can choose more and I just have to let the resort know ahead of time how many of each dish they need to have and then do the color thing on the tables. She asked me to send her the email which I did and she still hasn't confirmed!! These are just 2 of like 10 questions I have for her. She is driving me CRAZY!!! I just sent her a message saying I know she's busy with other brides but with 4 months to go I really need her to answer me in less time than she currently is. I'm going to give her until Friday if not I'm going to have to call. I'm really missing Julie now because I would wait 2 days max for a response. Ok, I feel a little better now

  11. love the travel brochures! Did you creat them yourself and just prin them thru vista print?

I'm going to just take his name, mine is way current last name is way too long!!

The weather was hot hot hot! We did our ceremony at 5 and it started to cool down during the cocktail hour. The beach reception was perfect. The temp was very comfortable. If you have any other questions, just let me know. Jeni If you don't mind me asking around how much do they charge for the lounge furniture?
  15. Super 19 - great pics!! I also love the reception setup, I'm picturing the same thing!! I have the same question about the lounge furniture )

I have spreadsheets for everything about this wedding too!! From the STD and invitations to the cost per guest! Its an ongoing joke with my FI that we have to "go over the numbers" LOL We decided to go with the classic wedding bc the pricing worked out best for us.
