  1. Carly, thats not it either. I went into Newbies and all the threads show up as blue, even the ones I have responded in already, prior to the conversion. So one by one I have to go into each newbie to see if I have welcomed them already. As I welcome the new ones their subject line turns a faded blue but there are still newbies showing bright blue and I have already welcomed them. I think once the conversion took place it made all posts new again. I think having a little flag or indicator thingy can't hurt though.

  3. Wait let me go into newbies and see if it is true....that is usually where I am testing everything...lol! Be right back!
  4. Yeah, it tells you that new content has been added since your last visit but it doesn't really tell you, its a forum you responded in. It may be just a forum you read and chose not to respond in. Can you add this suggestions please Carly? That would help alot. Thanks!
  5. I'm only just seeing this but I set up honeyfund for our registry and have received several gifts from guests so far (mostly the people unable to make the wedding liked the idea that they could still help create memories by purchasing excurisions etc.) So far I have had no problems with receiving the funds or with honeyfund. Everything goes through paypal, its fast and easy!
  6. Hi Carmela, congrats and welcome to the forum. Your date is just around the corner! Happy planning!

  8. Perhaps I still haven't figured it out yet but Carly, Tammy, anyone in the old forum, you would know which threads you have responded on because you would see it a little sort of orange/red arrow, in this forum so far it has been hard for me to keep a handle on all the threads I have responded to....they show up on my page as in recent threads but it was helpful the other way as it helped me keep track of noobs and who and had welcomed so far and who I hadn't.....any suggestions?

  11. So when I booked the Somerset back in Novemeber of last year I had told the wedding coordinator that I would have wanted either a saxophonist or a violist for my wedding. I wasn't sure which because first I needed to pick the tunes for my ceremony and the cocktail hour. Last month I sent her an e-mail requesting to find out whether there was a saxophonist or a violinist on the island. I got no replies. I posted the question on here and Krys Mann from TI was able to give me the name and contact info for the saxophonist (there is no violinist on the island). I then sent my WC a message asking that she please get in touch with him and 1) please find out whether he could play a list of songs I sent her (which would determine whether I use him for the ceremony or cocktail hour), 2) please book him (cause he either way he was going to be doing one). I haven't heard back from WC only to tell me there is a saxophonist on the island (I already knew that Krys told me). I decided to try to get in touch with the saxophonist myself. I finally got a hold of him today to find out that he just recently accepted another booking for Nov. 13th and therefore won't be able to do my wedding! Dream #1.........SHATTERED! Ok well maybe not that dramatic, but I am starting to get miffed by the fact that I have 109 days left to go and I am hearing from your WC less and less! I wrote her to tell her we will be having a wedding cake and that we would like passed drinks during cocktail hour......no response. It seems that as my date gets closer I am hearing from her less and less. Quite frankly I don't know what to do. In the beginning I would hear back from her within a few days....a week tops...now I get no response or if I do, it doesn't answer my question. *sigh* thanks for letting me vent ladies!
  12. Really, I actually thought navigating this one was alot easier than the old one.....but I'm always the odd ball out. lol!

  16. Oh no! I hope your ring turns up. I'm glad you have insurance though, smart move but hopefully it shows up and you won't have to call in the insurance.
  17. Thank you Karen and Wendy and all the other ladies for your input. I will let you know how things work out!

  20. Congrats and welcome to the forum. Have you tried going into the section on the forum with RM brides? It may be a good place to start since there are brides from so many different resorts. You can ask questions and look up their different resorts. Best of luck in choosing your destination and happy planning!
