Hey all, I have been gone for sometime, but have a question for you all. My wedding is in Dec, and I am trying to get a lot of my planning done now because I coach college volleyball and our season is from Aug-Nov so I want to get as much done as possible NOW. Anyways, anyone who has been married there, I am thinking of having my reception in the area by the pools and I was wondering if anyone had had their reception here, if so, what kind of lighting was supplied if any. I am not wanting big center peices and I remember one bride saying she didn't have center peices and they put candles on the table anyways. There is a thatched roof structure and I was wondering if they put any lighting under there or do I need to ask(and pay) for that. Thanks!!

Hey everyone, I'm have been out for a bit, but was just catching up on the new posts. I officially have my wedding date set(12/10/10) and rooms blocked, and an initail "save the date" type email sent out. Now I have to get motivated to pick a site to do a wedding website....and I will go with on of my BM to try on dresses for the first time next week. It seems so far away but I am such a procrasitnator I have decided I am going to try to get as much done as early as I can. We'll see how that works. Its great to see how much you all are getting done!!

Didn't want to, but forced myself to go on a 35 minute run outside (in 30 degree weather..burrrr)...this forum is very motivating, I like trying to have something I can post! Keep up the hard work ladies!

Did spin class for 45, then reluctantly went into an ab class and a tone/sculpt class. Was glad I sucked it up and did it. About to start trainging for a sprint triathlon..hopefully that will keep me going for a few months

Hi Ladies, I have been stalking this forum for a few weeks, deciding between two hotels and I finally made a decision and will be married at the Azul Sensatori hopefully on December 10th. Still have to reserve the date! Its been so much fun to read all your post, you all have definilty made a little family here. Little overwhelmed at this point because my wedding date is so far off, and don't really know where to start, but this forum has been a huge help so far and I can't wait to get lots of advice from the pros.

He proposed a month ago in Hawaii. We dated for 10.5 years (i know) and I was sure there was no way at this point he could possibly suprise me. I had a feeling it would happen while we were in Hawaii, everything was a surprise from the start. I wasn't allowed to know where we were going, where we were staying or what were were going to do, so I fiugured at some point on the trip it would happen. active, we planned to hike, surf, snorkle, etc. He tells me one night that we are going to go sky diving the next morning, somthing I had always wanted to do, but he wanted to make sure I was mentally prepared so he told me the night before. We show up at the place, supposidly one of the most beautiful drop zones in the world and we begin to sign papers. On each line I sign, right below it says "you may die" over and over and over again. So I keep signing, and I look at him and ask if we are really about to do this and he says yes. So we waited about 1 hour until it was our turn, get in the plane with 8 other tandum jumpers and as we climb higher and higher, he turns to me and asks if I am ready to take the plunge..I laugh and say "I don't think I have a choice at this point" then he get down on one knee and askes if I am ready to take the plunge with him? He had the ring on the plane and knelt down on a knee. Then we jumped out of the plane. It was amazing!! He definitly surprised me.

My FI and I share in the cooking responsibilities, I coach college sports so sometimes I don't get home until late and love when I get in the door and he askes me whats for dinner. Specially when he has been home for about 3 hours and knows I will be starving when get home after a long practice and just when I walk in and askes ME "whats for dinner?" SERIOUSLY!!! The look I give him usually says everything. (he does this all the time)

What is insanity? I have done p90x a few times and was thinking of starting it again, but can't get motivated to listen to Tony everyday...what is insanity, maybe I need to try something different.

I like that! Good motto!! I did spinning for an hour and hopefully will get to lift some weights tonight. Was very bad over the holidays and need to get back on track.

I am a spinner as well and have been for about 2 years but don't use cycling shoes, do they really make a difference?

I think an extra hour to the cocktail reception is $15 a person. I'm not positive because I think the prices I have been given are out dated. Online the price per extra person for the Aqua is$90, avong1228 said its $99 and the sheet I have says $85...geesh. Anyways I am just in the very beginning stages, trying to pick which package I am going to do. Anyone figured out if picking a package or going a la carte is less expensive? I'm thinking I'll have about 60-65 people and can't decide which route to take, I want to do a cocktail hour and reception along with the wedding and can't figure out if going one way or the other saves all that much....on a tight budget so every bit I can save will help.

10.5 years....yikes. I was 19 when we met and going to turn 30 this year. I have really grown up with him. Long distance for 7 of the 10 years, and its finally time. Luckely neither of us felt like we needed to be married because it was the next step and ignored all the people who were constantly pressuring us. For the last 5 years all I have heard from people is "why aren't you guys married yet" or "when are you going to get married" or "do you guys not believe in marriage" I was so tired of hearing that!! Now I fianlly have an answer. The timeing is finally right and all those people can be quiet now!!! :-)
