So I knew the proposal was coming but wasn't sure exactly when. Apparently my FI picked out the ring while visiting his sister and didn't actually get the ring until she came to visit us. After she left he took the dog for a walk. During the walk he tied the ring and a piece of paper that said, "Will you marry my daddy?" around the dog's collar. When the walk was finished the dog ran up to me and I saw the piece or paper. My FI said the dog had something to ask me and never actually asked himself. When I asked later on his proposal, my FI said he didn't think I could turn down the dog's cute face. And really, who could?

My FI Steve and I met through Yahoo Personals. I checked my account after about three months away from the site and saw a message he sent over two months before. I responded anyway because he seemed like a nice guy and luckily he was still available! We emailed for about two weeks before we went on our first date and 14 months later we were engaged.
