  1. Oh girl I know how stressful that can be! My dad went through it in February and I was a nervous wreck. I'm glad to hear he is doing well :-)
  2. smckinney, I read that you had the tres leches cake...did you have any problems requesting that? I asked my wedding coordinator last week on the phone and she told me that I couldn't have it. Should I insist? lol Did people like the cake? Runningbride, what kind of cake did you have?
  3. RunningBride you look beautiful....and your arms look so toned lol Oh I wish I would have gotten married younger and thinner lol (I'm 35) Did you use Maya Diseno for flowers? How did that work? What I mean is, do they deliver and someone meets out front to get them? lol
  4. we are actually doing open bar for cocktail hour and reception, but we were charged twice the amount listed for champagne toast and cake for our non-real guests (20 pp) which I found weird. i didn't know we could use our makeup/ hair appointments for another day- that's great! Fernando is doing my makeup, so i will definitely ask her to r/s (although y do i get a feeling she will say no? lol)
  5. I signed my contract late december '09, so that should apply to me too. The weird thing is that in the package lower than ours, there is a charge of 10 pp (non real) for champ/cake, but in luxury it doesn't mention anything like that, much less 20 pp for that. Grrr
  6. Natalie, Did you get an upgraded cake or the one in the package? The only options i saw for the one included was generic vanilla, choc, lemon and something else. Heidi, Lomas travel is also decently priced for transfers
  7. Ugh crappy! If they fall through on you, i used these folks: https://www.weddingslinen.com/index.php . Placed two separate orders with them and had sashes and table overlays within a week. I was really, really wanting tres leches cake :-( ..she couldnt explain why (she said she wasnt sure how to translate). Sigh. Did you get an upgraded cake? How did you choose the caramel and coffee filling (sounds delish!) Does anyone else have the luxury package? We paid (for non-real guests) an additional 80 pp for reception, 20 pp for cocktail and 20 pp for cake/champagne toast? Is that last charge right? I see a charge of 10 pp in the previous package, but nothing about 20 pp in luxury for champ/cake. Weird. (and 10pp for hot canapes) So 130.00 pp for non real ...yikes ....4 so far
  8. I thought payment was due at 45 days O_o ? Blah...she also told me i can't have Tres Leches cake (even the 1 tier included in package) :-(
  9. Jess, I would probably call them then. Elsa called me last night and we were on the phone together for like an hour (scheduling spa appointments, going over non vs real guest charges, extras) and we paid our final bill with her.
  10. Woot! best wishes, running bride! i keep looking for you on the webcam lol Ladies, does the Royal have any stipulations on flower petals? do they have to be real or fake (or does it not matter)?
  11. Oh thank goodness! LOL I had my fitting yesterday and everything is A-ok..whew! You look gorgeous!!
  12. Yeah, I have her. She hasn't responded in a week, so Wayne just called her. They said she will be back in on Monday
  13. You may luck out depending on the style. I picked my dress and when she went to order it, she said they have ONE in your size and color! they shipped it within a week
  14. Honestly, it was pretty much what is listed on the real site under luxury package (itemized with 0.00 next to it) and the price of that package + blood work (although I'm having symbolic)
  15. She sent me the final bill on Monday cuz i asked her, but no way/link to pay and I've sent a couple of emails asking lol.
  16. Hey ladies, how do we make our final payment? I've been asking my WC all week, but no reply yet. I'm 47 days out but she hasn't asked for my checklist or payment or anything ..hmm
