we are doing canapes and an hour of open bar. They quoted me an extra 150.00 for solarium with cocktail tables (FI said ok, so whatever lol) -
Has anyone booked and paid deposit for El Bistro? He sent me bank info, but I don't get how you are supposed to make a paypal payment with the info he provided.

Oh and Jess, thanks for bringing that up; I will probably make 2 spots for my photographer (Ivan Luckie) and his wife/assistant if he brings her. I got him a room at the GRP for like 189.00 (beats the 350.00 vendor fee!) crap....i forgot to add him to the list for meals

I had a hand steamer for my MOH's wedding and it worked well on her chiffon dress (not sure how good it would be for taffeta or satin). Luckily the luxury package includes dress steaming/pressing, so I don't have to worry about burning my dress lol. I hear you, girl. I am also curvy and 5'3 and once I saw the wonders the corset could do i was hooked. (and i'm in a heavy satin dress but i don't care! lol) I figure the sun will be down 1.5 -2 hrs after my ceremony and then it will be relatively cool outside next month. I have to practically wear stilts though because FI is 6'6 and a half!

Oh btw, I ordered the luxury flower from the royal for my hair ( i assume it's an orchid), but I wonder if a fake one would be better? I wonder how long they look fresh....

Jess, I did the same thing tonight lol (only on my own). I did half up do and showed Wayne and he said he liked it. Then I did a low chignon with my bangs swept to side (or tried to) with a fake orchid from Garden Ridge lol and he said "Yes! that's the one" .... glad to hear we are on the same page.

I'm a maggie bride, too! She makes awesome dresses. I think they are both beautiful, but I'm always partial to corset/lace up and the way it pulls stuff in lol (at least for me hehe) My hair is curly, too and I was thinking the same. Yay for maggie brides!

For any of you that are having a rehearsal dinner at El Bistro: did they mention a charge for table/chair rental? Valentina never said anything about this, but Jose (the manager) did. Is this right?

I did put them on the reply cards, but only half the people replied anyway lol. You should be okay. The other half called to tell us they wanted chicken or beef haha so it really doesn't matter if you put it on the reply card or not.

Yeah, I still can't believe some 5 stars don't heat their pools...it really makes a difference when they are! I'm having beef and chicken and signifying this with a symbol on the table/escort cards

We're having one on January 8th at the Dallas World Aquariaum (wanted to somehow incorporate the theme lol) We are inviting 150 adults and 30 kids (yikes! FI insisted even though kids scare me lol) I have a huge family that would feel slighted if they weren't somehow included (I only invited immediate family to the Royal wedding), so I almost had to have one at home.
