Then she tells me I can only choose 2 entrees but Julie said I can choose more and I just have to let the resort know ahead of time how many of each dish they need to have and then do the color thing on the tables. She asked me to send her the email which I did and she still hasn't confirmed!! These are just 2 of like 10 questions I have for her. She is driving me CRAZY!!! I just sent her a message saying I know she's busy with other brides but with 4 months to go I really need her to answer me in less time than she currently is. I'm going to give her until Friday if not I'm going to have to call. I'm really missing Julie now because I would wait 2 days max for a response. Ok, I feel a little better now I haven't asked her any questions yet, but FI called her a few weeks ago and they talked on the phone for a long time (she was thorough on the phone). So maybe calling her would be best

Anyone out there doing a Catholic ceremony or know of resources/links to figuring out all things Catholic-related for PDC ceremonies? I know you said Playa del Carmen, but have you checked out the Catholic chapel at The Royal Cancun/ Gran Caribe? .....GORGEOUS!!!!

Michelle Thanks! No worries, I was just wondering if they came with the package. You're right, Zazzle is amazing!
  5. Ooh i havent come across that one. Thanks for the link! Regarding my name change, I polled my 5 brothers last night and the general consensus (minus one brother) was to just take his name only. The two arguments that won me over was this: one brother is an accountant and works with IRS stuff - he said it was much simpler to change 2nd brother works at a bank and said bank cards are limited to 15 characters and if i have both of my names, it would be 20 letters long....LOL! so I'm just gonna take his name

I was ready to make a deposit, but it took them forever to get back to me, I had to email them for a third time today and finally it was... oh it's not available. I have no idea what to do Maybe they can put us in the Gran Porto Gazebo? Rosieposie, looks like we'll be down there the same time. My date is May 21, 2011 Jessica is right, the GPR gazebo is gorgeous and I actually think gives better shots of the ocean behind you. It's a short (under $10) cab ride from the resort. coco bongo in playa is next to the blue parrot. was quite fun, didn't have fire dancers or anything like that. Still had a fun atmosphere, but noticed that blue parrot attracted more people. went to a foam party at the coco bongo in cancun, was so much fun! BUT noticed the foam left a weird smell afterwards but went away after a shower. heard deseo is quite nice, on the rooftop of the deseo hotel right on 5th ave. but we didn't have time to go. Alux is very cool and I had the food there, it was ok Cogo Bongo is awesome but I love to dance as do all my girl friends so this is usually where I end up at the end of the night I also love this place right on 5th called Tequila Bar Tequila Barrel Sports Bar and Grill in Playa del Carmen Mexico Its a sports bar feel but its fun to just grab guacamole and chips and hang out This is great feedback! Thanks ladies :-)
  9. Oh and random question... For those of you using catamaran cruises like catamaya, do they give you all free T-shirts? I recall seeing group pic where everyone wheres the same T-shirt (and I'm a sucker for a free T-shirt lol)
  10. I just came across this Nightlife in Playa del Carmen,Clubs in Playa del Carmen,Bars Playa del Carmen|Mexico I know some of you have mentioned Blue Parrott, but are you familiar with any of these other bars? I'm looking for somewhere crazy and then somewhere chill to hang with the girls on our first night.

Speaking of lame...is it true that they don't play music by the pool area? Darnit, the Royal is so amazing, I just wish they would do those extra things that you would expect from a 5 star like heating the pool in the fall/winter and keeping bars open later. Secrets Capri didnt heat their pool either and it was brrrr super cold in October

I loved that dress but found one I like even more that I bought for a quarter of the price. He STILL talks about how nice the Maggie was though. Definately a full line of beautiful dresses there. This weighed heavily on me as well. I was convinced that I would get a simple chiffon dress (no one around me carried any chiffon maggies though :-( . I took FI to a boutique to look at dresses and he only picked heavy satin Maggie dresses. He envisioned a more traditional dress, so I thought well, I love the dress too, might as well give him what he pictures me in anyway ;-). I agree Maggie makes gorgeous dresses
  15. For people in the states, have you ever employed the services of different laser places? I'm currently using Ideal Image and they seem to have their stuff together (but expensive). I see ads for Smooth Solutions all the time and it seems to be significantly less, but are their lasers of less quality as well? P.S. I went to Renaissance Laser a few years ago and well...i'm back at Ideal Image now cuz it (Renaissance) didnt work (for like 6+ treatments mind you). I would like to pay less, but worry that I'm not getting good quality laser if I go elsewhere

  17. Helpful hint: I use the knot.com for most of my things because it will create guest lists with meal choices and seating chart, etc....and the best part...u can export to an excel sheet (already formatted) :-)
  18. I used numbing cream for the first time last friday and I have to say that in most areas I barely felt a thing! I would highly recommend it (especially since they usually turn up the laser intensity with each visit)
