  1. Hi All, I am sure this has been asked before. I have searched and can't really find any answer. Has anyone took their marriage license home and had it translated once home instead of letting it be done in Mexico? If so, where did you go and how long and much did it cost?? We are getting married at Dreams Tulum on July 16th and were told it would be 120.00 and 3-4 months for translation if done through the resort. 3-4 months is a long time to wait especially we just bought a house in another state. I don't want to have to chnage my drivers license and all for the location then have to go back in a few months for the name. I would rather get it done sooner than later. Any information would be helpful!! Thank so much!! Nicole
  2. I am so excited! I went to David's Bridal just to try some dresses to find the right style of dress would look best on me and of course, the 4th dress I tried on, I LOVED!!!!! Hi Jenna, Welcome and congratulations!!!
  6. I could care less if an ivite is handwritten or not. The envelope is just getting throw away anyways. Do whatever your comfortable with.
  7. I don't think it's expected at all. Honestly, most of you guest if not all have probably never been to a DW so what are they gonna compare it to. They have no idea that people even do them so I think it's fine if you skip it. I know my hotel charges to have a dinner like that so i have no plns on doing it.
  8. I am having the same situation with my family!! We just want the immediate family going and all my cousins want to come now. I had to kindly explain that we only wanted the small group of immediate family but they will be icluded in out AHR. That seemed to work.
  9. I have no intentions of tossing a bouquet or garter but I do plan on wearing one still. Do you have many married couple there?? maybe you can toss it to the married ones instead!
  10. I like seperate tables. Too many personalities that you may not like being together at one big table is bad news in my family. Best to keep everyone at a distance. but that is just my crazy family, LOL!!!
  11. Welcome and congratulations!! Just keep in mind that most resorts have multiple venues for weddings. Some have chapels, gazebos and other areas other than the beach for weddings.
  12. Congratulations and welcome!!
  13. Welcome and congrats!! I have stayed at Iberostar and loved it there! I was planning on having my wedding there after visiting there and seeing weddings. But I have to say I was really disappointed with their wedding packages they offer. I felt that you get so much less for the $ than you do at other resorts. I winded up booking at Dream Tulum.

  17. We are having a small AHR when we return back home. I am doing my own invites but I am really confused with the wording for them? Do we put that we will be married on such date or were married on such date since by the time the party comes, we will already be married. What did you say on your invites?? Looking for some ideas? Help!!
  18. Congrats!! The dress looks way better on you than it did the model! You will look beautiful!!
