I'm not sure if this info is anywhere, but I have a centerpiece question. My WC is on vacation right now till the 12th, and i'm going crazy not knowing. What does the MC do for centrepieces? What do they offer and what are the charges, does anyone have this info or pics sent to them? I know many of you are doing your own centrepieces and bringing them down but i want to cost out what they offer. Do you know if they at least provide glass vases free for us to use? Thanks !

I really love parasols and am 99% sure that myself and my 2 bridesmaids will be carrying parasols with them down the aisle. My MOH is not able to go b.c she just found out shes prego and due the WEEK of my wedding...that's a whole other story! Do you think that if it is a beach wedding that *only* carrying parasols would be strange, or do you think they should have flowers and parasols? I think it may be too much with both...awkward to walk down the aisle. Would your opinion change if it was a gazebo wedding? Thanks for any input!! I'm torn. Flowers are so much more expensive, even though they are always beautiful. I will still have my bouquet though.

I like number 2 too! I'm doing lime green and hot pink/fuschia (undecided on that). I like it together, but am also flipflopping between orange (tangerine) and hot pink.

I got mine at the LaVieen Rose outlet at sunrise centre in kitchener. Not much left anymore though..I think they were happy I almost cleared them out!

Thanks for the tip! They only had white and black and then 1 aqua so I got 10 black, a white, and an aqua. I'm thinking that I will have the aqua and I dont think we will have enough guests and the white will be extra. That is such a great deal! They are ginormous so not sure what I am going to do with all that space! Hopefully the guests like them. Black is boring and not beachy, but i didnt want white (too dirty) I wish there was brown! What are you girls putting in them?

I see lots of people are doing the business card thing with vistaprint. I checked out their website and not sure where to go. If I go to business cards and pull up all their options they all look like biz cards. How do you get it to do the Baggage Info : Name/ Address/ Etc.? Do you have to select and then edit them or is there somewhere that has this pre-done? Thanks! Also, have your girls put anything else on it? I was thinking of also putting the hotel info and dates in case the bags get lost, they know where to send them.

I'm in the same situation as you. I have a platinum e ring and the matching wedding band doesn't even have the indents, so it wont sit flush. I looked at white gold but it won't wear the same at all. This is your wedding band, you may as well get platinum. I was getting quoted aroud $2K with plat. band and diamonds 3/4 way around and if i wanted 3 sides it was about $3k. He was throwing out all kinds of prices but i wrote them down just in case. I have a Tacori ring and their band is quite expensive..starts at about $2K before diamonds and have found something similiar but with diamonds for the prices listed. Check around. I found that if you're serious they are willing to negotiate. Never pay list price for jewellry..the markup is ridiculous! My friend used to work in the jewelry department at Sears and he said its like a 400% markup -- negotiate!

We sent out an Evite Save the Date and directed everyone to our website last month, and will have our formal invites printed by next week. We plan on sending those by mid october with an RSVP by Jan 1st. There was a promo on fuel tax out of Toronto if deposits were on by August 31st so we paid 28 deposits and now people just have to pay us (or CC at the travel agency). It's SO frustrating though because now people see no urgency to book b/c we reserved their spot! Even family, which is quite annoying...mostly FI's. I want my money!! HA HA. We ended up saving each couple $200 by doing that, and we can release 25% of the seats...so hopefully we get at least 21 people and I will be happy. We have 6 deposits now but 17 that have "Verbally" confirmed.

So, I REALLY love TTD photoshoots. Photography is my porn. However, my dress is silk (like a raw silk, not flowy) and it was $1200. To me this is ALOT of money since i only wanted to spend under $700 on my dress. So...i am torn between doing a TTD session and ruining my dress because it will likely shrink b/c it's silk. OR, do I purchase yet another dress from lightinthebox or wherever for $200 or so and just use that? OR, just do jungle shots and lift it up in the water .... Did anyone do a TTD with a silk dress? If so, what happened? I question what I will do with it after the wedding anyway. From what i have heard drycleaning is expensive and dont know if i would sell it anyway, so why not. But then, if i can wash it and get money back, maybe that would be a good idea? this is why i can't make a decision....circles.....any input?

Hey Angela, I'm using ewedding as well but i upgraded to the gold package. One thing that might be happening is you might be on a page that doesn't have uploads or link availability. I created an FAQ section out of the Vendors link and changed the name because it allowed links whereas some of the other pages don't have that function. Maybe try another section that allows uploads and change the name. Hope that makes sense and helps a bit!

Hi, I'm new here, but have been creeping around for about a month or so ;-) My name is Lara and we will be getting married May 3rd 2010 at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana. I'm super excited..but also getting stressed which is the opposite of what i wanted! However, it's just all the beginning planning stuff i'm sure...and all those extras that I want that am trying to get organized.
