  1. Great information! Thank you! I have been emailing Patricia from Weddings in Cancun, who is amazing to work with!
  2. Thank you so much for the review! Your pictures are beautiful!!! I'm email Xcaret now. We definitely want our ceremony there. I hope we can afford a reception there too!
  3. Thank you so much for posting this! It has been so helpful! I was going to have my wedding in Puerto Vallarta, so I was worried it was going to take awhile to start the research all over again in Playa del Carmen. Patricia has been SO helpful and her prices are reasonable! Thanks again!
  4. If anyone has any information and pricing, please forward to me also: jessica.drewett at yahoo.com Thank you!
  5. I read in the contract the coordination and DJ were required. Does anyone know if they are flexible on this? Since we are having a church wedding and very low key dinner, I don't feel we need the coordination. We were also planning to do live music, instead of the DJ. I was planning on bringing my own photographer, but read about the extra $250 for the slideshow. I'm going to email my questions to Adam tomorrow. I always appreciate the input here too. Let me know your thoughts! Sam- Great pics! Can't wait to see the rest! Shreets- I was wondering the same thing. I used the catering industry standard of 1 server per 25 guests for estimating purposes in my budget.

Talk about saving some cash...lol My FI has told me to go the China route & if i end up not liking it as much as the original than he will buy the original & i can use the replica on our TTD...so really i can't lose.. That's great! I cant wait to see how it turns out!! Thanks!

I bought my AHR dress from Landy Bridal and had a great experience with them. Not sure about this site as i have not bought anything from them but maybe look at the design and see if its sorta what you want Design#1. I LOVE both of these dresses. I haven't tried on the DB one yet, but I've had my eye on it since the first time I saw it on the website. I wonder about that littlecoral.com website. I searched reviews on google and it seems to be ok, but I don't know yet. I saw a couple dresses I really liked and they are super cheap!
  9. Congrats everyone! Can't wait to see photos! Christa, welcome to the forum! We are putting down our deposit and signing the contract this week!! : ) I plan on doing lots of DIYs and thought about no dance floor too. We decided to do the partial takeover with D&E#1. I wanted to do the full, but my FI and dad didn't feel comfortable taking the risk...oh well. Maybe it will save some stress in the end. Next step...dress shopping!

We definitely don't want a full mass...so it looks like it just might be an option for us outside the church! Sierra101010, which church is in your siggy? Where is it located?

This is my favorite church I have seen so far. I'm just concerned about the distance and the cost to transport everyone. Are you providing a shuttle for the guests?

    I'm engaged!

    Congrats! Welcome to the forum!
  13. Jennie! Welcome back and congrats! Can't wait to see more photos and read your review! Magalie, can't wait to see your dress!
  14. What about a dinner cruise or something like that? Where are you having your wedding? You could do heavy apps with a champagne/cider toast, then a fun activity in the area (like a sea turtle release or night snorkeling).
  15. You're welcome!! Let me know what you think! I am going on my site visit next month!
  16. At first, my biggest stress factor was the wedding party too. I also chose to go against tradition. I was trying so hard to think about how I would not hurt people's feelings. We ended up renaming the whole wedding party! We have four "Senoritas" and four "Senors"! They were all really excited when they heard the idea and there were no hard feelings. Now, my stress factor is trying to get past the FMIL's opinions. She always envisioned us getting married back in Texas doing a big traditional wedding, especially since Ryan and I both live in California now. Hopefully she will come around and get excited about it. My next stress factor will probably be getting people to book, but I'm going to try and keep this as stress-free as possible!!! : )
  17. So cute!! I can't decide if I want to try DIY or order mine from someone online.
