  1. Things will get real busy as your date gets closer. You will probably want your weekends to be pretty free. So I too would vote for 4 or 5 weeks before you head out.
  2. Welcome back to the forum! Wishing you a prosperous New Year!
  3. My vote is for the Grand Palladium!
  4. Congrats on your engagement! Do you have any ideas on where you would like to have your destination wedding?
  5. not sure if I like but I make sure to keep my toe nails painted in the summertime! Brett Farve
  6. its alright, I would prefer to pay someone! The NFL (football)?
  7. Congrats - also a soon-to-be Jamaican bride, July 2010. Check out the Jamaica sub-forum, you should be able to find answers to a lot of your questions there.
  8. With a lot of hard work and this forum, I think you can pull it off!

The thing I have says $2000 for the Caribbean package + $50 for over 8 people. FI decided if we are having everyone come out to Jamaica for a wedding, we'd better have a real wedding out there...I don't think it will be much more $$$ either. She also asked me about the photographer. I just told her to send me the info - I'm having SunGold take my pictures - they told me they've never had any problems getting on the resort but I didn't think I needed to mention it to her ; ) Great update, thanks! I will try calling again. OK, those are the same prices I saw, was just concerned because the package I have was dated 2008. I hear you on the part about getting married down there. I started thinkig the same thing. If it's not going to cost us much more, I would rather have the real deal be in Jamaica! SunGold is amazing, I tried reaching out to them but they were already booked for my wedding day!
  10. MD checking in, has to be about 20 inches out there! And it's STILL SNOWING!

I too am thinking about changing from marrying here first, it doesn't seem like there is opportunity to save money anymore. Have you been quoted a 2010 price per person for the carribean package yet? How many guests are you expecting?
  12. Although I love giving gifts, I am not a big X-mas shopping fan Sending Christmas cards?
  13. It's pretty sad but I have enjoyed the episodes I've seen. Chocolate Covered Strawberries?
  14. Great thread, thanks for bumping this one up! Haven't even thought about hair yet. Ugghh.

It still looked fine. I would ask Nina when you get there if you get flowers with your set-up. If they aren't included, you can just ask her for some I didn't get back an actual contract to sign when i first signed up.... I sent in my credit card information, and a form with all my wedding information on it, and that was it. A few days before I left for Jamaica, I got a confirmation email and there was an attached contract to sign. If the deposit was taken from your credit card, and she already confirmed your dates, then you should be fine. Great stuff, thanks! You and the other past brides have been so helpful. I would be going crazy if it wasn't for you guys!!
