I called Dreams directly their 1800 number of of the resort page and I got 330 dollars for single occupancy for one night. But I am going to go with Photosmile. The woman is just so wonderful to work with plus I get more for the same price. I think its a good choice and now one less worry plus she will handle all the hotel details now. Yay.

This is what I would get from Sascha for 2100 6 hours of photographer 4 for wedding day 2 for TTD each hour gives about 40 editted pictures per hour cd with all the edit'ed pictured and prints of all said pictures hotel room at the hotel for the day of wedding online slideshow only My other choice is 2050 from Photosmile Studio out of Cancun 4 Hours photo's wedding day CD with all the photos taken including the advaced photo editting CD copies for our parents slideshow with music 1 hard cover book 8 x 10 - 20 pages 1 hard cover book 5x8 or 7 x 7 in color or black n white 60 4 x 6 prints 1 set of proof sheets web gallery for friends delivery of 3 days after the wedding except for the books Trash the Dress session 1 hour Help lol

Omg they were my first choice but they were booked. Lucky gal book em book em. I think that other than the dress the photos are the next most important thing. Good luck choosing. I thought I had decided and was about to put my deposit down with Sascha Gluck but then my 2nd choice photographer emailed me and said she will eat the hotel cost. So I would get more with her package for the same price. Oh what to do.

Ask her but make sure she knows that she isnt under any obligation to say yes and keep repeating that lol. My best friend can't afford to come to our DW but she's coming to the AHR.

Woohoo, booked my photographer for the day. Yay. Ordered my TTD and bridesmaids dresses today. Phoned my TA and asked her why my updated group prices were 600$more than I could get online lol. I want people to book through her not the website. Would be nice to have all together but I dont want people wasting money. Almost finished my STDs just a bit more embossing to do. Oh and ordered sample cardstock for my invites to see if I like it. I feel accomplished this week.

I am with you pooshek 100%. Save your money for something else. They look just as nice in photos. I am having an AHR and didnt want to waste money twice. Go with Silk. Good luck

Its your day and if this is what you want to do then go for it. As long as you know that some people may not be able to attend because of finances. I dont think that selfish is the right word. Believe me my MIL has made that comment to me a few times now. "Thats what happens when you plan a destination wedding people cant afford to come." I have learned to ignore her. We are having a reception at home for those that cant but this is what WE want to do. Your not being selfish just following your heart for a dream wedding in paradise or whatnot. We tentatively asked our closest friends and family members if they would be able to and want to come. As soon as we had that answered we booked. Now we sent out STD's to the rest of the people we are inviting and if they come great. If they cant because of finances so be it. Thats what AHR's are for. You can also buy Skype credit and call her land line with Skype for 3 to 4 cents a minute. Which is nice it has a running meter on the messenger that shows your available credit left. Good luck.

Gina, Did you have to book a room for Sascha or did he just come on a day pass? I was told I had to book a room and thats an extra 300 dollars for the photographer. Just curious as to what other brides did. Thanks.

Those orchids chains are super pretty. I am trying to decide on what type of flowers to use for the BM"s. I have seen these fake/real flowers but not sure what a typical cost etc is for them. Thats awesome. Yes she told me private dinners were 18/25/45 US depending on menu. And she said if you bump up the package and dont need the photographer you can sub in for extra decorations or video etc. Which is great. Now I just need to sit down this weekend and figure out which is going to cost less and how much. Echo what weight is your cardstock. Some printers only go up to a maximum weight in cardstock. That might be the case with yours. Cant wait to see how they turn out. I took Becky's template and made mine like hers but then I added an embossed palm tree and embossed outter envelope. Very much the same as hers though. Thanks to Becky hehe.
