  1. We are sending out an e-Save-the-Date to everyone. We will then have two types of invitations...1 really exquisite set of invitations that will go to our guests that RSVP yes and/or who we know will come and another simpler invitation for those we know that no way in the 21st century are they coming or those that RSVP'd no. We have people coming from 3 Continents and have a good idea of who and who will not be there (barring a few).
  2. You ladies are brave. I am such a control freak. I want to see and try dresses and know exactly what I'm getting. I admire you all.
  3. amberlynne87 Love the multi-coloured BM dress idea and the dresses look quite flattering.

  5. Damaris what an amazing dress! You're going to look hot in that. I just realized, our weddings are a week apart!
  6. Can I say I am soooooo glad I found this thread! I've been wondering what to do with my hair. I've had braids often and weaves (only started doing them in the past year) as well as natural and relaxed. I know I'll be in the water before and after the wedding and the styles I'm looking at would work best with a weave but I'm not sure if I should go with braids instead. I have mid-length hair that is currently relaxed but about to hit the braid circuit until the wedding to give my hair a chemical break. Luckily for me the weaves I've gotten in the past have been pretty pricey, but my stylist is great. I swam every week in the pool with my weave and all I had to do was make sure I blow dried it really dry after swimming and conditioned it well. Not sure I'd want to deal with that during the wedding week though. You all have great suggestions. Thanks for sharing and your hair photos are fab. Very inspiriting. Now I just have to make a decision or two.

  8. BTW, do you mind sharing where you are finding shoes. I just haven't found "that pair" yet. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
  9. I really like #1, but for the dress you've chosen #4 would work better. #1 would work better with a more formal dress.
  10. I'm still up in the air about this one but I do want it to be special either way. I think getting all the group shots without the need for the B&G to be together is a great idea so you spend less time after the wedding. Besides a TTD session the day after can make up for any B&G shots you may miss. We're thinking of having our wedding at 3:00 p.m. and having a longer cocktail hour. Hopefully this helps with the daylight and time factors.

  12. Nice. Gosh I need to start looking for a dress for my legal ceremony. One more item to add to that very long list.
  13. Love 1 and 3, too but love 3 a bit more. Don't worry, when you get it in your size and throw on a pair of spanx the tummy will disappear.
  14. The second one looks like it would make her sweat buckets. Convince her to go with #1
  15. Wow! Your story is amazing. Congratulations! Enjoy every minute of it.
  16. I vote for number one. It's less of a "bridesmaid looking" bridesmaid dress if that even makes sense. LOL! I love the color!

That will be a great way to save on luggage and customs fees.

No one to help me except you ladies! Thanks again for all of the great info!! I don't know what I would do w/o this forum!! Don't sweat the small stuff. We are doing e-STDs. I created one myself in photoshop and will just email to the guest list along with our TA's info. We'll then send the formal invitations in a few months.
  19. I too am on the hunt for BM dresses. At least mine's taken care of already. Phew!
  20. Glad I found this thread. I need to work on a group excursion because we are going to have a large group. Thanks for sharing.
