Thank you for the offer but I'd much rather be safe than sorry! Thanks!! I'd love to join your group if you end up purchasing one!
  3. So I saw on other posts that ladies were able to "engrave" their own glassware with etching kits from Michael's. I went to Michael's and took note of all that I would need to do my sand ceremony vase but I'm wondering how you guys create your own stencil. I saw a bunch of pre-maid stencils but I want to use my own font for the monogram. Help please!! Thank you!
  4. I'm hoping to find a blue starfish group to join. I'm January 6-13 Playa del Carmen. Let me know if I can join your group! Thanks!!
  5. We are having our legal ceremony after we get back right before our reception (19 days after our DW). We were originally going to hold our legal ceremony before but then we thought of 2 things: 1. that was another party we have to plan, more money to spend and our family will have travel twice or even three times to see us. and 2. it will make our DW the first time we say our vows. It just makes it that much more special. Our DW date will be our anniversary date.
  6. We are holding our legal ceremony right before our reception when we return (19 days after our DW). We were originally planning on having our legal ceremony before we left but then we felt that would make the DW not as special since it would be the second time. We are inviting all of our family to the ceremony. I was originally just going to invite the people that were unable to attend the DW but then I felt bad that we weren't inviting everyone so now its the more the merrier. Yowza!
  7. We chose not to do a group booking. According to our TA, we would have to pay a large deposit to hold the space (thousands of dollars) and as guests booked they would pay the remaining balance on the rest of the rooms. My stance is that people will be more likely to book quickly if there is a risk of the price going up. I really didn't want to pay tons of money then have people back out. So far the price has gone up about $15 in the last 3 weeks (the flight price). It just seems like less of a hassle. Hope this helps!
  8. I'm getting married at the Sandos Caracol in January 2010 and I'm just wondering if anyone is willing to share their experience getting married there. I haven't started working with the wedding planner there yet but would love any tips! Thanks!!
  9. Congrats! I am also getting married at Sandos Caracol! Let me know how everything went! We're heading there in January.

They do have dates of when we are thinking (well all the resorts do that we are looking at, so it isnt a it is this or nothing decision) But since it is a once in a life time thing I just want make sure we make the right decsion for us... Does anyone have any ideas or have your heard anything? Thank you so much for your help. Did you decide to get married here? I'm planning on having my wedding here in January.
  11. I really like the simplicity of number 4 but I love the detail of number 2. Very good job!

I'm leaving for Playa del Carmen on Jan 6th and won't be home until the 17th but everyone else is coming home the 13th so it could be sent out then. Let me know! Thanks!!
  13. Awe I love the flower! I'll have to check them out! I'm waiting on the flower options from the resort before I pick the flower for my hair. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful advice! I just hit up dollar tree and got hand sanitizer (3 for $1), facial tissue (8 for $1), and playing cards (2 for $1). Also, If you head to Walgreens right now in their seasonal section they have drinking straws in the shape of flip-flops (4 for $1). I plan on putting them in the kids gift bags. Finally, Marshall's has aluminum water bottles between $3.99-$7.99. I'm getting them for my bridesmaids and monogramming it with a plastic sticker (engraving would cost $6 per bottle and $10 to set up). Lastly, I noticed a post about Coach wristlets for $39. If you have a Coach outlet by you check it out! Everything is at least 20% off (sometimes up to 70% off!!) we're getting married in Jan so I plan on hitting the Coach outlet on black friday (even more savings!!).
  15. Hi All! I'm looking for blank plastic sticker paper to monogram my aluminum water bottles that I'm giving my maids. Has anyone found them instore? I thought it was easier to post a thread than search the hundreds of pages Thanks! AJ
  16. I do a lot of coupon using and as far as I know you can use multiple coupons if you have multiple items. For ex, if you have 10 coupons you can use them on 10 items. You just can't use 10 coupons for 1 item. Of course, I could be completely wrong I plan on buying the coupons too! Thanks!!
  17. We are holding our legal ceremony right before our at home reception. Our home reception is 2 weeks after our DW and we are just having a 4 hour dessert and cocktail reception starting at 8 PM. We're having our legal ceremony at 7pm so we'll just have family come a little early. We originally were going to have it before our DW but it didn't make sense to rent a separate space or have our family travel twice.
  18. Man, that sounds like an episode of Bridezillas! You poor woman! I think you should tell her how she made you feel. That is just horrible!
  19. I know this has already been stated but I agree that you should not just invite them because your future brother in law asked. Tell them that you are at your limit and are charged extra for every extra person. I've had a few people try to invite themselves to our wedding I've just tell them we cannot have any extra people and it costs an extra $100 per person.
  20. I have 5 maids and a flower girl and my fiance has 7 groomsmen. I think you have a lot of family involved so it's kind of hard to take away that piece. I think 10 is too much if you are having 30 guest attend. It's only weird when there are more people standing at the alter than in the chairs
  21. My bridesmaids are paying for their own dresses but they were only $36 from Victoria's Secret. I purposefully chose inexpensive dresses because I know they are already paying for the trip. I'm also letting them choose their own shoes and accessories.
