The reason we chose out DW in the first place is because if it was local we would have 200 of our "closest friends" want to come. by having it overseas it means that the people who really love and care about us will be there - everyone had over a year to make the necessary arrangements

My dress is a Maggie destinations replica. I tried it on in the shop. The funny thing is that the real and the fakey both would have needed the exact same alterations.

I got my dress from duosheng. I couldn't be happier.

They price it in us dollars (I am from Australia) and you can send your measurements and go from there. I ordered mine in august. I can't believe it's nearly here!!

Just tell people you are keeping it low key and don't want a huge bridal party. If they get upset - explain that they should have your best interests at heart. that is exactly what I did.

You don't want to over plan things. Enjoy yourself- it is your wedding not a class trip. Your guests will appreciate the effort you have gone to as well as their own free time.

Just be direct and say I need to know what is happening so I can be organised and find a replacement.

There are some great places around Koh Samui - Maybe either at the gold buddha or there is an awesome butterfly farm there too. You could make something butterfly themed or at the markets (near the buddha) have something pre prepared and say oohh look at this I might buy it and it has "will you be my MOH" written on it?? just a few ideas. Hope it helps.

Unfortunately some people don't get the fact that you aren't going for a holiday wedding free for all- my family are the same. Just look for my post re: what to say to family that are not invited. I am still having issues. I guess the difference is that my parents understand that I don't want certain family members there. Are you having an ahr? Tell them that will be the get together.

We made a list of the things that are essential for making our day and everything else is a bonus. We have only invited our closest friends. And only doing what we can afford.
