  1. Actually any heel with a sligh platform would work for you as well as a wedge. As for wide feet, just go online and look for a site that caters to them. One of my BM has to get custom shoes as well. You'll find something you like. Just remember to put those little foot pads in the shoes as well. Trust me....they'll save your feet!
  2. For walking down the aisle the guys will walk down to Aerosmith "Don't want to miss a thing" and the ladies will walk down to Jeux d'Eau from Cirque du Soleil. I know that's it's an unusual pairing but that's TOTALLY us!
  3. Jetsbride.... Beautiful Bride in Calgary carries some great DW dresses. Check them out. You won't be disappointed. I bought my dress there. It was the first place I checked because it was the only place that carried the dress I wanted. They are really good and give ZERO pressure. They're so good in fact that I bought 2 dresses from them!
  4. I've already sent out my invitations. They are a message in a bottle. All colors are neutral. It had sand and mini shells in it. FI loved them so we went with them. I was afraid that if I went with neutrals we'd blend in with the sand!
  5. I've been spending so much time worring about which colors to pick for our wedding that it's making me go grey! I don't have a favorite color and my FI's useless on this front. His favorite color is the color of the clothes that are still clean. I want colors that photograph well on a beach and look nice. I also want something vibrant but not gawdy. I've seen some examples of fuschia, lime and white ( I like cymbidium orchids), as well as turquoise, aubergine and lilac. What do you think of these colors? Do you have any other suggestions for the color challenged? If I keep going on like this I'll have a full head of grey hair! If I don't pull it out first.
  6. Your wedding is on the beach right?!?! Make sure you check your makeup in natural light...I know when my friend (a makeup artist) does faces they tend to look really heavy in person but it looks fantastic and natural in photos...
  7. I was in the same boat as you are in now. I had 2 dresses I loved and couldn't decide upon. So I bought both! Get both if it's in your budget to do so. I'm wearing my long dress for the resort and I'm wearing the short one for the civil ceremony at home. If you can do it you won't regret it! Just my two cents....
  8. Really great job! I think that covering it competely would look even better. I wish I was that crafty. I seem to be the Tim the toolman of crafts. Something gets glued to my body.
  9. Thank you so much for the terrific review Lagen! You've really put my mind at ease. Can't wait to see the pictures! OH....Congratulations!
  10. Here's the model Here's me...about 20lbs heavier than her and not as cut!
  11. That's an incredible dress and you look fantastic in it! Great choice.
  12. Wow! I really don't know how you ladies do it! You have so much planning done. I have my dresses, my earrings, invites (message in a bottle) out and I'm just waiting for the FH to get back into town so we can put a deposit on the wedding. I am finding it very hard to get things done. Thank goodness for this forum. At least I KNOW what I want....except for colors. I'll get a handle on that soon too! I hope!
  13. I've had a great experience with Daniela. She returned all of my emails within a day and she even took me and my FH on a site inspection even though we didn't even have our wedding booked there. She gave us at least an hour of her time explaining the different packages. I've recently inquired about fireworks and got prices immediately. I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else! I had a chance to see Daniela in action (3 weddings in the 1 week we were there). She seemed very concerned that the party had the best day possible. I don't know about anyone else but I'm sold!
  14. WOW! That's the best price I've seen so far! Glad to hear they deliver to Canada. I think I'll have to place an order....
  15. My sister (my BM) and I were orphaned at the age of 6. My FI lost his dad at age 26. One of my BM lost her husband of 2 years this Novemeber. I HAVE to do something to remember them. I was thinking a memory table with pictures and have each of us put a flower on the table as we pass. Of course i will put something in the program to honor them. My MoH suggested also releasing the flowers into the ocean after the ceremony and before pictures. This is something that doesn't have to involve our guests just us. To me , this just feels right. My FI and sister agree. That's how we're going to do it!
  16. Here's a link to my dress. D800 I added the photos for you. Please check out the link in my siggy to help you post photos. Posting links and attachments eats up people points.
  17. I've been looking at the shangtung collection by Jenny Yoo...I really like them. I'm still up in the air as to colors. I'd like to see something in the pinky range. I just want a color that photographs well on a beach in the sun. Jenny Yoo Collection
  18. I have a link to my dress... D800 What style BM dresses should I order? My BM's have very diferent body types. I'm alright with different styles but I'd like the same color and material. My dress is charmeuse (sp?) with lace overlay. We're going shopping in 2 weeks so any help is appreciated!
