  5. I LOVE the starfish also. I hope they don't look cheesy in pink or yellow or blue! TRIAL RUN!

And if I get fake flowers...what am I going to do with all those fake flowers after the wedding? Maybe between now and the wedding day I will figure something out!
  7. Wow....I was looking for the same exact thing. I would love to pay for the rooms for my family to stay in but really didn't want to put them up in a hotel. A couple of beach houses would be fantastic. Let me know if you find anything out! And if your wedding is before mine...let me know if the one you chose was nice! HaHa!
  8. I think my favorite is the one of him sitting on the bench and you lying on it with your head on his leg. Very Sweet! I can't wait to do my pictures....heck I want to do them NOW! We are very fortunate and our photographer is a family friend who does it professionally and is doing our pictures for two days for just cost. He lives where we are getting married so we are very lucky to be blessed with that. And from what I've seen....cause I need a photographer for the AHR...they aren't cheap. WOWZERS! Anyway.....B-E-A-UITFUL!
  9. HaHa! You're to funny. Sending out your invites already. But on the bright side people have PLENTY of time to save up for your DW. And I do agree with you, 2009 is going to fly by! Only 531 more days to go for me! I better get goin!

Our tables will seat 8 and the candle holder/vase thingies are 5x5 and I got 3 of them per table. I hope they are big enough....maybe I should do a mock table and be sure. On the other hand I think we might do "picnic" tables.....and if you do one like every 3 feet or so. What do you think?
  11. I wish we could say we are taking Christmas down a notch or two....but we have an 8 year old who may be a little disapointed if we didn't do gifts. We kinda discussed doing a family gift and then getting the kids "santa" gifts. We were thinking of a Wii...cause it's a gift everybody...except Wyatt, he's only 13 months...will enjoy. But we aren't giving gifts to each other...so that maybe taking it down.
  12. Tybee Island isn't as extravagant as Mexico or some of these other places you girls are going. Tybee Island is a remote island off the coast of Savannah, GA. It's very pretty though. We are paying cash for our wedding so going far away for a DW isn't an option. Maybe one day when we renew our vows we can go some place far away.
  13. Any other May 2010 Brides out there! I would like to see who else is out there who shares the same wedding month as me! Maybe share some ideas!
  14. I know exactly how you feel! I went from being 300 pounds to loosing 150 of it to having a baby and gaining most of it back.....I hate it! My FI has told me I look beatiful no matter what, but I want to FEEL beautiful. When you go from being fat to being skinnier to being fat agin...it makes you want to cry. I have been going to the gym 5 days a week for the past 2 months and haven't lost anything. I am not eating junk or fried foods. It's frustrating. You be my motivation and I'll be yours!
  15. Wow....I have read everything on this thread and I can't imagine anything like this ever happening...although I'm sure it does more so then I think. I would be extreamly pissed if my friend/photographer did that to me. Like you told him you were relying on him to be there. I think as a gift to you he should give you some dough for the photographer...HAHA! I hope everything works out for you!
  16. I was thinking Orange, Hot Pink, and Light Blue for our colors. I really like the way they look together in this picture: Sorry the picture is so big!
  17. I'm with you guys on this one.....Living not far from the Chattahoochee River we found a pavillion right on the banks of it and are having a HUGE picnic with a DJ and my mom, sister, and I will be making the food (turkey, ham, potatoe salads, and stuff like that) we will be doing volley ball, baseball, swimming, and whatever else we feel like doing. It will be very casual and fun, just like we are!

  19. Okay.....so I was looking at centerpieces online and came across this one. I am very against using flowers in my centerpieces as I think it is a waste of money on something that's ust going to die. Please give my your thoughts on this! The color will be Pink. So...keep that in mind!

  21. My two cents......I think that is WAY to much for a gift. I found these at DavidsBridal.com and they are beautiful in person and they are $29.00 a piece.

I definately don't want them to look empty. The ones that I like are made out of seagrass, the only problem is, is that they have orange strapping, which isn't one of our colours. I emailed the seller to see if they have them in a different colour, but I haven't heard from them yet. However, they do have a multicolour one, in our wedding colours, but I'm sitting on the fence about whether or not I think the "rainbow" looks tacky or not. ~~ Could you let me know if the come in different colors.....I really like those and wouldn't mind getting my 20 that I need from there!
  23. Well, hearing you guys say that makes me want to do it A LOT more. I guess my worry is I wanted to wear my dress to my recpetion which is going to be after our honeymoon. We are having a small family only wedding, going on our honeymoon, and then coming home and having a huge reception for all of our friends that couldn't come with us. I just don't want it to be ruined...but I guess if you have it dry cleaned it should be okay. Oh well.....guess I have plenty of time to decide what I'm going to do. Thanks!
  24. I love the TTD concept, but how do you girls do it? I can't imagine spending that much on a dress to wear it in the ocean and ruin it.
