  2. Love Target, will have to hit ours up today! Thanks for the heads up...
  3. Wow, those are really cute!!! Guess I will be making an IKEA run... Thanks for posting!
  4. Thanks for starting this thread...all great letters! All the past brides make our planning so much easier!!!
  5. Mel, I love your dress its gorgeous! Love how the back dips down! Your hair flower, earings, dress all have such a romantic flare to them!!
  6. Jennie, my fav is dress # 2...it is gorgeous! Dress 1 and 3 look great on you too though, tuff decision!! Mel, when do you leave? You have got to be bubbling over with excitement! Kate, thanks for the info on the rose petals! Also was wondering, were your tables set with plates even though you were having a served dinner? Thanks!
  7. Jennie, I can't get the pics of your dresses to open I love orange anything, your flower choices sound beautiful! Kate, thanks for the petal info. Did you have any problem with them staining the bottom of your dress? That happened to a friend of mine and it showed in all the pics. Here is my dress I couldn't figure out how to attach just the pic so it would open... Style Becca | Priscilla of Boston My name is Lindsey, by the way. Bunsie is just a nickname that always works for screen names b/c its never taken.
  8. Hi guys!! Wow Mel, you are so close!!! That's so exciting You seem very calm, I'm impressed. I am sure I will have 500 things to do in the weeks leading up to ours. I hope your wedding week is everything you've dreamed of and more! Can't wait to hear all about it. Jennie, what type of flowers are you getting? I think I am going to get ranunculus for the bouquets, roses for the centerpieces, and canrations for the flower girls' pomanders...but I am not sure yet. I found these black vases I love for cheap that would look great on our black and white tables. I am thinking about trying to ship them down. Lindsay said shipping is really unreliable but I might atleast take a shot at it. Has anyone else tried this? I just picked out my dress last weekend and wish it would come NOW! I am still torn on the live music issue :-/ My fiance really wants traditional music for the ceremony and since this is the only time he has opposed something I have planned I think I will throw the guy a bone, haha! Did anyone use live music for their dinner or cocktail hour? If anyone is interested...I found a website with the bouquet jewelry for great prices. At this bridal show I went to with my cousin all of the bouquets had swa crystals stuck into some of the flowers. Added a little sparkle. Question for Kate...how many bags of rose petals did you use for your aisle? Have a great day all!!
  9. Hi Sandy, you might take a look at Playa Fiesta. I was looking for a villa as well but could not find one large enough with everything I wanted. Playa Fiesta has the private feel of a villa and a lot of the amenities of a larger resort. Good luck, I hope you find exactly what you are looking for
  10. All great ideas...has anyone used a mariachi band for their ceremony?
  11. Thats a good idea Kate, I will definately include a little insert with the booking instructions with my invites. That way even our non computer savy family will have all the info! Thanks everyone for all of the helpful advice and tips DB2B...I am trying to figure out how to attach this audio file to this post so you can hear it to. It is a mariachi band laying during a wedding ceremony.
  12. Jenniebey, I have dealt with this with my guests as well. I did not break down the price for them I just gave them the total so they were shocked when they saw how high the tax and service charge were. I just had to tell them it is customary in PV.
  13. DB2B...I am torn on ceremony music too! My fiance has the same opinion on the mariachi music...must be a guy thing. I think it could add a really neat mexican flare to the ceremony but he thinks they are cheesy. I am going to search the internet this weekend for mariachi wedding music. Hopefully I will be able to find a sample. I can't believe that is your last major decision to make...I am a slacker!!
  14. Hello, I am getting married November 25th at Playa Fiesta in Puerto Vallarta! We have booked a 4 night package for our guests, November 23-27, and just sent the information out to everyone so they can reserve their rooms and get their airfare. We have our BMs and GMs all lined up and I picked a black, white and hot pink theme. I have picked out material to have tablecloths made and have picked invitations but that is about it. I have a lot of planning to do!!
  15. I have 10 hot pink and 3 black. I really wanted to go with black but there were only 3 at our local Targets. I do not think I am going to use them...I am just waiting on an email back from an online company to check on another tote option. If I'm not going to use them I would be happy to send them your way rather than return them. PM me and we can chat! Lindsey
  16. Wow, what a great way to get to relive your wedding day Amazing! Thanks for sharing!

  18. They have the mini first aid kits and spanish for dummies in the dollar bins at our Target right now. I was there last night. They also have totes for $2.50 in the bins.
  19. DB2B, we went with Michelle too. I love her style! I am having a hard time deciding on live music. If I do get it, it will be for the ceremony. Lindsay recommended the mariachis. I just wish I could hear a sample of the type of music they would play for the ceremony. Do any of you ladies who have already had your wedding at PF have any video that has audio of your live music choice?
  20. Thanks, I will definately order a sample. Now I just have to figure out what color!
