Unfortunately, I have found that people don't give you the same consideration with a DW as they do with a traditional one! I sent out 104 invites, set up a way for people to RSVP via my wedsite (to make things easier) and only 8 people RSVP'd! There were 29 people booked by the deadline and yet, I just found out that 5 more people booked last minute this week! We leave in 2 weeks... Sucks, but that's the way it seems to work. I tried EVERYTHING under the sun to get people to give me a definite yes or no answer but most were still on the fence 7 months before the trip. I made my OOT bags for those who were booked by the deadline, and everyone else won't get anything! Harsh, but there was nothing else I could do...no use stressing out over other people's indecisiveness. KWIM? Just know that you are not alone and we are all here for you...vent away girl!!

Sorry to hear you have had a bad morning! I hope that things are able to settle themselves without you having to be the person to deal with it! It shouldn't be your problem and your Mom is right, "leave it with her". The last thing that you need to worry about is your guests behavior while they are at your wedding week....you have enough on your plate! I know the closer to my wedding date the crazier I am becoming...mood swings galore!! Doesn't matter whether it's big or small...I sweatin' it all!!!! Good luck to you and I hope the dust settles the closer you get to your big day!!!

Oh it will all work out I'm sure of it...we haven't heard anything more about it...the only thing with my father is that he wasn't born here and isn't a Canadian citizen so there is sooo much more red tape than if it was as simple as just getting a new Canadian Passport. He has to have a landed immigrant status card in order to leave Canada and be permitted back here. But you are right, a passport is not needed to travel to Dominican but my Dad's case is a special one and was told that he should really have one, along with his health card and drivers license...the more proof the better! My brother WAS in the same position too. He only decided last week that he would come but lost his birth certificate! Well we rushed that and he received it yesterday and went to the passport office right away..he will have his passport by the end of the day today...CRAZY isn't it??
