  1. Swankster - don't get discouraged! It's probably a smaller loss because you are gaining muscle in the process, which is a GOOD thing! The more muscle you have, the more calories your body is going to burn at rest.

  3. I had my ring rhodium plated about a year after I received it, I think it's a fairly common issue with white gold, which is probably why lots of people want/get platinum but it's so darned expensive. Sorry to hear yours is doing that already!!
  4. wow, what a jackass! Ana, definitely write him back with what you just said to us...he needs to know that kind of behavior is not only totally unprofessional but completely disgusting and chauvinistic! Yuck! Is this guy stuck in 1950 or something? Last time I checked, we ARE in the year 2010....geez!
  5. I am so sorry that you are being forced to endure something like this, how awful! I'm not going to repeat what all of these wonderful ladies have already said since they are all giving fantastic advice. I just want you to know that we will ALWAYS be here for you and I really, sincerely hope that you and your DH can work it out...whether that means staying together or not, is really up to the two of you, but please look in to counselling so you can at least feel like you've exhausted all of your avenues. Keeping you in my thoughts!!
  6. I'm a little late to the party but I hope you had the most beautiful and amazing day ever, Tucks!! I am DYING to hear all about it when you get back!!
  7. wow Finleys7, love the invites!! Popping my head in here to say hi to all of the past and future IB* brides, I haven't been very active in this thread lately...I'm sorry! I still you all very much!

  9. oh Nat, you and your hubby are two of the happiest, most precious people I have ever seen! I am completely in love with all of your pics, Del Sol did an amazing job as usual and it didn't hurt that you just so darned gorgeous!!!

  11. lol yeah Lisa, I fail at not weighing myself everyday...probably OCD about it or something
  12. yay Lisa for progress! I got on the scale this a.m. and it didn't change from yesterday morning sigh....I think I need more cardio in my life and I LOATHE it!
  13. lol seriously Lisa, some of those lean cuisines are borderline unhealthy imo! you ate your snack!?!? ruh roh! hehe No worries, is there anything at the office that you can grab? My office has a snack area they periodically fill with granola bars and such, it's one of those honor system things.
  14. DH and I are looking in to a new one too but we're looking more or less at notebooks since we don't want to lug around a heavy laptop (this is more for surfing/at home use mind you). Anyhoo, my DH is a computer programmer and has also built several of our desktop PCs. Lots of people like to ask him for recommendations and he will usually tell them it all depends on what you need the lap top for, what kind of performance you expect out of it, etc. I think it's really a matter of personal preference. Anyhoo, that's just my two cents...good luck Alyssa!
  15. Manders, something is better than nothing so I say good on you for that!

LOL must be why your skin is so nice tho. i need to get a nice ginormous water bottle so i can start gulping it down at work, too! are lean cuisines expensive in canada? they can be pricey here but there are sales pretty regularly where they are only about $2 (which is waaay better than the $7-10 bucks i'd spend ordering lunch with my coworkers) so i rationalize the purchase that way. usually my lunches will be salad with a little of whatever meat we have leftover from dinner the night before. mel, i am right there with you about never ever learning. i have been up and down more times than i can count. haha yeah, I do practically slosh around when I walk! I keep a 1L (32 oz) water bottle at my desk and just keep refilling it all day. Oh, I hope the water is helping my skin because some days it doesn't seem like I have nice skin... Lean cuisines are like $5 - $7 up here, it's pretty insane, imo. Quote: Originally Posted by nsbride2010 WOW K thats a lot of water! 19. hahaha Melissa, you are NOT alone! I never learn, I just lose and gain and lose and gain...it's probably hard on my body. randomness but wanted to share...I drink 96oz of water at WORK every day, then I go home and drink another 64oz lol too much? (roughly that's 5 litres/day)

  21. lol ohhh Lisa, what are we going to do with you?
  22. Lisa, you don't have small snacks in between meals? I find it really helps me!
