When FI and I went to PP in March 07, we did the Tropical Sun Jeep Safari which took us to a small town and then to the Damajagua River to climb up 7 of the 28 waterfalls. it was really cool but the guides were not pay close enough attention when doing something like that. we also did 4-Wheel ATVs thru the Countryside, i would not recommend this tour. the ATV we had were not safe. the engine and brakes cut out on all of them and 1 died completely on the trip. If you plan on going on these tours off the resort i would make sure you buy the Medical Emergency Insurance from your TA. you can see some of the tours your hotel offers by going on orbitz or cheapcaribbean.com. side note we booked our trip for PP thru cheapcaribbean and they say save 10% off the tours by purchasing them when you book the package but they were cheaper at the resort!?!

My FI and I have been talking about moving out of state as well since we also live in north central NJ. My FSIL moved to the phoenix area and we were shocked at the house they could buy for 150K. i love nj but the cost of living is crazy. we are looking at salt lake city to move to in a couple of years, once the FI is done with his dental hygienist degree. Check out salary.com to see the difference in pay for each area.
