  1. I also want to thank others for their help and postings. We had to cancel our wedding and had a terrible time trying to rebook everyone all across Canada for the week of May 17 to an alternate location. Things just weren't working out and because of our timelines we couldn't postpone. We decided late last night to cancel and focus on having an intimate wedding in the Gulf Islands, British Columbia. Although it is not the tropical wedding we had planned, the setting is lovely and will offer us peace, tranquility and natural beauty - which is what we really need most at this point in time. We are then going on a kick-a** honeymoon to make up for it all. We just now need to work on getting a refund back from Azul (!!). I wish the rest of you all the best with your planning and weddings. I know they will be beautiful. Take care, Kelley
  2. We are in the same situation with several guests flying out of Canadian airports. I can't believe the timing....I hear your scream heather_hunder and raise you one more..... We are looking at other options as well but you start to feel like you are taking leftovers...as it really wasn't what you originally planned. Sigh....I kept hoping things would look better as the week went on but with the recent flight restrictions I'm not sure where we will end up.
  3. Congratulations Erika. I can't wait to hear more about the details but it's comforting to hear you deflect any worries. I especially like your note about it being Mexico and you have to be willing to roll with it. Good advice. I am very interested in hearing more about this lack of communication between Miami and AS staff. Did you feel like you had to replan and organize things again when you got down there - is there anything we can do from our end before going down? I will wait more for your review and pictures but I am also curious about the Zocalo terrace....I have been trying to get more information from Miami about table sizes and set-up. Any information and/or pictures at the terrace would be most useful. Congrats again. Sounds like it was a lovely day.
  4. I agree with DWBride09. I, too, have been to the Toronto store -- not to purchase a wedding dress but a bridesmaid dress. I don't know of anyone that has bought a wedding dress there. I would suggest trying bigger stores as well. I bought mine at Ritche but visited a wide variety of stores before making my decision.
  5. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.
  6. Hey everyone. New to the forum....and so grateful for this thread. It's nice to be able to share resort-specific ideas and thoughts. We're confirmed for May 21, 2009.
  7. What a great forum! My name is Kelley. We're planning to marry in the Riviera Maya at the Azul Sensatori. Wedding date: May 21, 2009 I'm really looking forward to reading through all the posts and sharing information.
