One really great book I've read recently was Scar Tissue by Anthony Keidis. Lead singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's a book on his life. It was interesting to say the least. Made me feel very greatful for the life I've had!!

That's so awesome! I wish my man had something I could "kill" and then honor. The only thing that comes to mind is a ratty old pair of undies that he refuses to throw out. I think my guests my have me committed if I threw a ripped up pair of undies in their oot bag....

I'm not sure if anyone out there is like me....I am not the "traditional" type of bride. I get alot of satisfaction from doing things differently! I didn't want to do the typical guest book that everyone signs and you never look at again. So, I decided to go a different route. My parents went back Dominican last February and I asked them to find a map of the Dominican for me. My fiance are getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe in February 2010. She finally found one for me on there last day there, so I guess they aren't the easiest things to find. It's approximately 2ft x 3ft and isn't hard to store as long as it's rolled up. I am going to have my guests sign this really cool map and I'm going to find a really great frame for it and I will hang it in my house so everytime I look at it I remember what a great time we had with all of our friends and family..... I may also have someone take pictures of my guests on the day of the wedding and have them write some words of wisdom on marriage beside their pictures so I'll have it to look at over the years. So, does anyone else have any cool or different guest book ideas they'd like to share

Wow - thank you for this great review!! I haven't seen many reviews on this resort and this is where we've booked to get married. Well - we've booked the trip...I'm having problems as far as booking the actual wedding...the wedding coordinator isn't getting back to me, which has me slightly worried. I noticed you said you wouldn't want to stay in the Club Golden section. EEK! That's the section we booked. We were told it's closest to the beach and it's close to everything - is this not true??

However I still can't seem to get a response from the wedding coordinator about booking the wedding. She emailed me some information and seems to be ignoring me....maybe she's just really busy?? Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone out there has the wedding package info for this resort. I've sent 5 emails requesting it and my travel agent has sent 2. I'm about to lose my mind. I need the wedding info before I can book my trip...and the rate I was quoted is only good until Tuesday. I know they are probably busy with weddings right now, but it would only take them a minute to email the info. Should I take this as a bad sign??!! So frustrating. We are doing the Renewal of Vows ceremony - so if anyone has the info on this...I'd be forever greatful if you sent it to me!! Thanks!

I've emailed the wedding coordinator for package information....hopefully it won't take too long. If anyone already has the info I'd be so greatful if you send it to me. I've emailed a few different resorts and some of them take forever to get back to me.... I read some of the older posts on here and a few of the girls mention dinner at the Seaside Grill. Is this where all bridal dinners take place? Does anyone have pictures?? I'm not interested in paying $85 pp for a private reception. So expensive. Good morning! Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to get background/foreground pictures onto my monogram. I see people with these monograms with cool little palm trees and such....and I can't seem to find any good attachments - they're all cheese. So, if anyone could help me I'd really be greatful!! Okay here's the situation.... I need to send out STD's to our guests. We aren't getting married until March 2010, but I have to get the STD's out now and in about 6 months I need to send the actual invites. Problem is, we are actually doing the justice of the peace before we go (to avoid any problems with the documents) and we are doing the "renewal of vows ceremony" in D.R. I've emailed the wedding planner to confirm a date but she keeps saying that she doesn't have the info for that far ahead right now so I'll have to wait until she gets it....which will be sometime next year. But, I have to get these out now.....so we don't have ANY dates confirmed, not even through a travel agent - absolutely nothing is booked and we can't book our all inclusive until this time next year! How do I do this Do I send out a save-this-potential date.....invite to follow?? Save-this-potential week HELP!!
