  1. I have to go with the majority & say #1...but ultimately its up to him - he has to wear it!!!

I came home one day to find Killick greeting me at the bedroom door I guess I didn't lock him in his crate properly so he was in there all day without supervision...I thought "Oh no...what has he done". After taking him out to go potty I went in to assess the damage. Surprisingly there was NONE!! I couldn't believe it!! He did not go potty on the floor despite being left there all day - he chewed up my LaSenza coupon book (grr...but no biggy!) and a stuffed gorilla that I gave FI was wet, so he had been chewing on that. That was it!! But I still do not trust him to be let out on his own just yet!! I agree...the crate is the best thing. And I feel bad for leaving him so long sometimes too, but as you said, at least he's safe!!
  3. Yes you are Tracey!! Want to come to our weddding for your honeymoon!!? Invitation goes out to everyone!! I'd love to have my BDW girls at my wedding with me!!
  4. So precious Martha!! You must feel so blessed!! Congrats & enjoy being a mommy!!! (that's for Noah...and you too!)
  5. Awh...I'm jealous you guys!! I want a bride buddy!!
  6. Thanks!! yeah...I've started off & on giving him treats in there - and he'll go no problem when I have one! I'll say "come on...go to bed" and we'll walk into the bedroom, he'll go in his crate & just sit & look at me! God...he's so cute!! I can't wait to get home & see him - all 70 lbs of him!! I guess maybe we'll start doing the treat thing all the time until he gets used to it. Although then he'll be probably go in there all the time just to get a treat! That's what he does with going out to potty!! He'll whine to go out & then has a little dribble and comes back in for a treat!! Little bugger!! lol

We say "come on Killick, time for bed" or even just "bed" and he goes & hides under the coffee table (although he's starting to get too big for that!) or he'll roll over on his back & play dead!! But while he's in there he's fine! I've even started leaving the door open when we go to bed at night and he's been doing ok with it.
  8. Are they into DIY?? You could buy cheap nail polish (in a bright red of course!) and put personalized labels on them. I'm sure you can find cheap nail polish on ebay or something. Then the personalized labels should not be too pricey. *Just another option!* Good Luck!! Let us know what you decide on!
  9. They are cute!! Why are you taking them down?? People can always use a good monkey picture to brighten their day!!

I could do it for our Christmas cards, but I've already ordered our "The Merrigans" labels (a little premature I know...but it won't be that far off of Christmas!)

Had I known about this forum I would have been on here too!! I still can't believe in all my web browsing I never came across it...or maybe I did & just didn't look close enough!!! With trip advisor, just remember to take the reviews with a grain of salt. Some people just have a bone to pick...and can never be pleased!! I mostly looked at the pictures! Oh...and search the forum for other brides!
  20. We didn't use these. We also had the advantage of FI working shift work so he was around most of the days when I was at work. Then the days we were both gone (5 out of 35) we had our upstairs neighbour let Killick out. Are you crate training?? If you are, make sure you get one that has a divider so that it can be smaller for now and can be made bigger when she gets bigger and potty trained. Killick can hold "it" all day now if we are both working. And he never once "went" in his crate. I am a huge fan of crate training!! (but of course we called it his bed!) Anyway...back to topic! If you both are gone all day long, and you have no one to let her out, then I guess using the pads will work - DO NOT use newspaper!!! It can really stain your floors!! Sorry I couldn't be more help, but if you would like more info on crate training or other training tips please let me know!! I've done a lot of research on this!!
