On the way back from us working in D.C. we stopped of at my parents house for a week. FI and I had only been together for like a month at that point. We took a trip to Hot Springs, AR to go shopping at all of the antique stores. There is this shop there that I LOVE, they have royal crowns, old doors from China/Japan etc. We looked through for awhile and I fell in love with this necklace that was $3,000. Needless to say that was out of my price range. We went to breakfast but had to wait, and FI said he needed something from the car, so my dad went with him to unlock the car. They got back and we had breakfast and went shopping. That evening we had dinner on the dock at Fisherman's Warf (Fisherman's Wharf Steak & Seafood). FI and my dad went out onto the actual "dock" and talked for a bit. That night we crawled into bed and he said he got me something, I didn't know what but then he gave me the box and turned on the light. It was the necklace!!!! The next morning I showed it to my parents (my dad knew). Apparently I'd been carrying the necklace in my camera bag all day and didn't even know! Anyhow, it's kind of a cute memory - and lots of warm fuzzies for Hot Springs.

We read this. There had been news that they were dating, so it doesn't come as a surprise.

I think if it were me I would have just said "I'm getting married to a new man who treats me good, much better than Mr. A ever could. Best of luck with Mr. A." She's really young. The novelty of a younger woman wears off for any man, especially when the girl starts getting old. If he's with her because she's young he will get into a habit of finding a new younger girlfriend every few years. She'll figure that out.

I'm friends with my ex before FI. We'd been together for many years and I broke up with him because he wouldn't help keep the house clean. I was working two jobs and going to school. The maid was coming in every two days and he still managed to make a disaster out of the house. He's really smart, and fun, but not good to live with. FI wasn't thrilled that he's on my myspace, but I think he's gotten over it.

^^^ My thoughts exactly. I'm hoping one of my best friends will be able to come. She does make-up professionally so I'm hoping I can put her to full use. She's from Armenia though so getting a passport has been a pain for her. If she can't make it I have full intentions of packing a bunch of ben nye to take with me and DIY the make-up and hair both days.

I haven't used it personally, but I have friends that swear by Rosetta Stone... they can't say enough good things about it.
