Hello BDW brides to be! I am selling a wedding dress that I bought for a more 'traditional' wedding that I never had. I got married on the beach in Riveria Maya,Mexico and when we decided on a destination wedding, I purchased a completely different style dress (linen and fitted). This size 8 designer Moonlight gown has never been worn, still has all of the original tags attached, has never been altered and is in the mint condition that I received it in. It is a beautiful dress! I held onto the dress until after my May 8th wedding just in case something happened with my destination wedding dress becaue I ordered it so close to my wedding date. In street clothes I am a size 6. I purchased this dress at Eva's Bridal in Chicago for $1589 and I am selling for the same obo. [/img] [/img] [/img]

Hello... I am getting married at Secrets on May 8th and I have to say that I have had the best communication with Alejandra and feel as though she knows and understands exactley what I need and want. Each time I make a change or an update, she resends to me an updated agreement reflecting all the pictures that we discussed, etc. We are getting married on the beach and when we were engaged there we saw another wedding at the gazebo and both were beautiful. The hotel is smaller than most and the beach is private so there are not many people coming and going in the area. Our reception is going to be poolside on the back side of the hotel...by the beach. I just thought that the sand and dim light might be a little uncomfortable for dinner. We are also having our reception poolside which I am really excited about all the dancing outside it doesn't really bother me who sees us having fun and celebrating. We are hosting a Welcome Dinner and this quaint mayan restaurant in town (I will post details). After the welcome dinner some may go out in town...and I am sure some will stay out later than others...HA! We are getting married on Friday night so that we will still have all day/night Saturday to just relax with our friends and family that make the trip. The hotel prices are really good right now...are guest are exicted! Michelle

I also wanted to show you the dress that I almost got I seriously debated for a long time. I love it so I thought that I would share in case someone else may be interested. It is satin trimmed with shells...so cute. Enjoy!

I finally got my dress and should arrive 2 weeks before my depature to Mexico..yikes. I have a dress that I bought when we were originally planning a traditional church wedding (which I need to post and sale) however, once we set the date for a DW I wanted a totally different dress so here it is!! I debated for a long time on this dress but I think that the linen will be perfect for the beach.

Hello All~ I went on a shopping trip to start getting ideas and found my bridesmaid dress at J. Crew on sale for $78 all the BM's really liked them and loved the sale price. I also ended up purchading the bracelet for part of my BM gifts I also found the greatest shoe for them (this pictue is not the ture color but it is the shoe) What a productive day at J. Crew and it was the last stop!

I LOVE your starfish along the asile - where did you find those? Also did you have to bring your own coordinated sand or did Alejandra have that for you...I am still waiting to hear back from her on this

Hi and Welcome! I am getting married at Secrets Capri in May 09. If you search the hotel on here there is an official thread for Secrets Capri brides that I am sure you will find helpful. We are getting married on the beach and having a poolside dinner and reception.

I am totally in love with this thread. I got on the webiste today for flower ideas and have been here WAY too long I am using starfish so I LOVE THIS!!!

I am exctied all over again and I am so glad to hear that Alejandra was so helpful. She has really been great via e-mail lately with getting me all sorts of good information. We are still debating between a beach or poolside reception they both seem so beautiful!! Thanks for setting up the thread and all the great information. Sounds like you had an action packed trip!!

Hello and Welcome!! I am getting married at Secrets Capri in May and we are planning our wedding on the beach and reception by the pool. I think that the pool area is amazing and in the evening there is nothing going on other than a few adults (b/c there are no kids allowed) walking from the hotel to the beach. We have stayed there twice now. We were engaged there and went back for our planning trip and what you have to remember is that it is a smaller hotel without evening outdoor activities so while it is not blocked off per say there is not a lot going on in the evenings.
