  1. My FI got the banana republic chino suit and it looks amazing! Not linen, but still a relaxed suit look. They sell them in separates, and i noticed yesterday that BR also has linen pants for men in (beige), but not sure if there is a jacket with it, i don't think so! I was in the pacific center store, so i am sure all of them have the same stock Good luck

  3. I know, i hope it goes amazing for her! I leave on the 5th... it is getting to be soon. Yah, the 45 days thing is a joke, i think it is more like the day before you arrive probably!
  4. OMG, i can't wait to hear how Jen's wedding prep is going!!! So excited, plus i have gotten my act in gear and done lots of the crafting.... emailed Carolina last week though, haven't heard back yet, we still haven't even set things in stone yet!
  5. Does anyone have any recommendations of specific product (hair spray, gel...) that works for us straight haired girls wanting big beautiful curls? I am going with hot rollers but want to use the best product out there that will hold the curls but not look too crunchy... I don't use any product in my hair as it stands, so i really need some help here!
  6. I got mine from there and it arrived so fast (like 8 weeks)! I would highly recommend them, i even called a few times and the customer service was impeccable!
  7. This is such a great idea! I found a weight loss buddy on here who helped me lose 15pounds, i really can't say enough about the benefits of this! Good luck, i hope you find someone!

Luckily our photog is amazing (Thanks Jon!) and called the airline to organize flights for the right month. He was a total godsend and made the situation much less stressful....phew..... Hoping that's the biggest mix up.....but sure something will go wrong in MX. Oh well....shiit happens... Too bad! I get there April 5th!! So close, yet so far! You are going to have to let me know any urgent things as soon as you get back! this is crazy, it is so soon!
  9. Hey Soon to be E... what are the dates you are at EDSS? I doubt we overlap, but it is so close!!! we almost should have arranged to share stuff for our wedding days! I would have freaked if i booked someone for the wrong day/month! I hope it worked out! Oh and Tracy, if you do have to switch the day, it will be your new lucky day, don't worry about it! Do whatever is best for you and your guests! The signature prices are so much less though, so consider that as you may get more people!
  10. Just thought i would weigh in here... didn't realize you could do land only with signature!!! AUGH, that totally would have helped. We,along with most of our guests are leaving the day after the wedding, it sucks, but we do get the whole day as our flight is really late. We booked our date before the packages were released, and had to have it on the saturday for some of our guests who could only come down for a long weekend. So we couldn't switch the date, and are just living with it. Most of our guests didn't complain a bit, i mean they can book separetely but it is prohibitively expensive, so no worth it for most people since we chose an already expensive resort.... So if your guests do have to leave the next day, just check the flight time! perhaps it is late anyways?
  11. I think it will depend on the group! I am pretty certain our guests will be in to it... particularly since they don't get to attack the candy table before a blindfolded bride (myself) attacks the pinata with a bat... I was set on having a wedding cake one (i love the ones you posted)... but can't exactly bring it to mexico with me! The other day i decided whatever it is would be fine, i really don't care. Why not have a donkey, that could be totally hilarious! I have also seen bride and groom ones which are funny, but transport is the issue right
  12. I am totally doing this! I am having a candy table and instead of cutting a cake (which we won't have), we will bash the pinata! I don't think it is tacky at all, it is super fun in my opinion! My wedding is coming up shortly, i can definitely let you know how it goes!
  13. Ok, i had to laugh because my FI had his stagette last weekend and they ran into her... and she gave her number to my friend to go out to dinner... Obviously, that is going nowhere!
  14. My wedding is less than 45 days away and we still haven't made most of the choices let alone paid for anything... i think they just say that you have to pay that far in advance... i figure Carolina will start harassing me for decisions when i need to pay! I am in no rush obviously, the longer i wait the better for me (hello, tax return!)

What sort of table settings are you bringing with you? Wow, tracey i just laughed when i saw that centerpiece! 125USD/each!!! That is so ridiculous. I just bought 72 votives from Cudge.net - Product Detail for like $60CDN. I figure they will already be packed for shipping, so if some break it isn't a big deal. I have 18 people on the same signature flight, so i figure someone will have room for an extra 22lbs! My MOH has 8 of these white ikea lanterns that are lite and she offered to bring those down (http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/cm/g...rnsIkea-de.jpg). Then i bought this green floral confetti from micheals (using 40% off coupons) https://store.gartnerstudios.com/pro...eounce499.phtm (mine is like candy apple green). So total for my centerpieces is well under $100CDN. I am all about candles, so to me it will be fine. I almost didn't even go with centerpieces because of the stupid resort costs.... I also am bringing my own paper bag luminaries ($4/bag is stupid), and if i decide on tiki torches, i will get them at walmart or something. I mean they are like $2.00 CDN each, so not sure how the resort gets away with charging $8 USD just to rent them! ANyways, that was my little rant! Oh and in terms of luggage if you fly signature with skyservice the limit is only 44lbs/per person!!! It isn't much at all! And extra feels are like $20/kilo!

  17. Our weddings really are coming up fast, yours will be here before you know it, trust me! I gotta get our details for the meals etc. finalized... OMG tons of decisions to make, we did switch our location to the gazebo though, hope it was the right choice! THough that being said, we are the only wedding on the 11th, so i can prob switch back if we choose to... I am not doing a BD shoot, but i think it is a great idea, let us know how it goes!

Tracey, it sucks that you aren't getting the promo... trust me i understand. I noticed that it stipulated no canadians for the promo (or usa only i guess)... don't really get why! Sorry that you are getting screwed!
  19. Nicky, sorry I didn't comment after seeing your FB photos! You looked AMAZING! honestly, absolutely stunning! I am so relieved having seen your pictures... i have 2 questions for you #1: You said that the pier was the more private of the locations... on the map it looks like the portable gazebo would be more private though... can you elaborate on either location in any way? #2: We were thinking of having a "sports day" with our guests and doing fun games like 3-legged race or something, is there a place on the beach that we could do this? #3: We are still debating the tent. Our private reception (45people) will be set up where the volleyball courts are. Would you get a tent for privacy or not?
  20. OMG Nicky, i am so excited to hear all about it and the much anticipated "Full EDSS REVIEW!" I have tons of questions too, and will add you on facebook to sneak a peek at you pics if that is ok? My name is Carolyn so please don't reject me! I have lots of questions too, but can wait a couple days to let you settle in!

  22. OMG, i just realized my legal day is 6 weeks tomorrow, and my wedding is 8 weeks! What have I been doing with my time? It feels like I haven't done anything!!! I did however just hire our choreographers for our Rock the Reception dance, my ring is ready this weekend, and i ordered my fake flowers for my bouquets... but really haven't done anything for the guests, for BMs, for decorations... PANIC

I tried to have that style done with my hair for a friends wedding a couple months ago, it turned out NOTHING like it... and i mean NOTHING. I think they are both amazing styles though! Good luck
  24. Hey Tracey, We are doing our legal wedding before going down there so we were told that our wedding in Mexico we could have them read anything that we wanted. I was sent the non-denominational script that they usually use and it was terrible (in my opinion) and totally NOT non-denominational. We are writing the whole thing for the minister to read. NOt sure if this is because it isn't legal that we can do this...
  25. Not sure if this is like you describe, but i LOVE this style Taylor Swift at Country Music Awards - Hair Stylist Blog
