We decided to do our 36 person reception in the restaurant and are still trying to figure out how to do speeches and dances. Thinking we may do a cocktail after the wedding or may do a cocktail dessert party after the dinner! Ah so many options! You are getting married before me! Yay! I thought the cap was 30, so i ruled that out long ago... Gosh that would save us a TON of money not to do the private on the beach... but... it will be so nice out there! If only the stupid tent wasn't almost $2K to rent!!! Augh, annoying. If you do it at one of the restaurants what will the setup be for if you had say 40 people? Would you get to decorate? Would everyone be together? Could you dance, do speeches? I am so curious!
  2. Glad I could help! let us know what you decide to do/order!
  3. I am not sure if this colour would work, but I had a bridesmaids dress last year from David's Bridal and it was "clover". I know with their online dresses you can do next day shipping! This is the link to the one i had, but there are lots of styles in this colour... David's Bridal - Bridesmaids, Dress Detail There is also honeydew colour which could work? Depends on your definition of sage i suppose! Sorry, probably not much of a help!

  5. I am going with Brian Adams "I'll always be right there". Everything about it is perfect for us! Not sure what the BMs will walk down to before that... something instrumental likely... and then we will walk back up the isle to Jason Mraz "i'm yours". Though I chose that song before it started playing on the radio and now I hear it all the time, so it may not work by the time april rolls around! So it may end up being Beautiful Day by U2 or something!

For the exact same thing...
  7. Hey Tracy, Sorry didn't mean to ignore your last post to me, oops! I am now subscribed so i won't miss any more! So we are renting a tent, and a dance-floor. Since we have more than 30 that is our only option, but happens to be exactly what we want! I am using Carolina for my WC, she seems great, i actually need to get back in touch with her since i am in a bit of a wedding planning lull lately... We are not using one of their photographers, though i almost did... it just depends what you want. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but i wanted all my pictures (1 of the options doesn't give you them), I also wanted more than a couple hours, and booked with moments that matter photography. They are actually from Calgary, moving down to riviera maya (They are on this forum all the time!), and they were really reasonable, figured it was worth the $500 fee to the resort to have someone that has an interest in taking amazing photos! Anyways, i thought the resort photogs were good, but the options i wanted were too expensive, i felt like i was getting ripped off! I am not doing a TTD, because we are leaving the day after the wedding! I would have loved to do one, and if i did, i think i would have just worn my same dress... it would have been fun! Oh, and i think most of the stuff at the resort is ridiculously overpriced, so centerpieces are definitely something i shall make up beforehand... I am also using fake flowers (i was quoted $25/calla!). What are you planning? How many guests?
  8. Hi & Welcome, You will get tons of great info here! Happy planning!

  13. We are having more than 30 people, so we have to go private reception on the beach (which is exactly what we want anyways). It is getting expensive, particularly since we are renting a tent, but it will be beautiful! We are doing beach wedding, beach reception, and likely a cocktail party before hand... How about you guys?
  14. Hi There, i am an EDSS bride too... most brides seem to go with Royale, but I decided on Seaside based on the beach and the smaller size of the resort... I have talked with people who have been there, and it has great reviews... I will definitely post a full review when i return to help out any future brides!
  15. It is funny, i feel like the wedding and the dress are the main motivator for dedicating myself to weight watchers, the gym, and my health in general... but though i am excited for looking great on the wedding day, i think i am more excited to look/feel great everyday... I am happy for this push, but i really hope i can keep it up! That being said, i hope that after the wedding, that i will be able to put something into my mouth without wondering how many points it is, or feeling guilt. I don't want to be this uptight forever!
  16. Hi everyone, So my boarding pass invites were essentially plagiarized right off this site so i am not posting those, however, i did one thing to make mine a bit different that I thought others may like! I was stuck on how to put them together, and while at the fabric store saw some hot pink gromets, and decided that i would use those to attach them. (There were other colours too) All you need is a 1 hole punch, the grommets, and the little tool to put them together. I got 35 grommets for $0.25 cents, and the tool cost $1.25. Each one took a few seconds, honestly! I was then able to cut the corners off the passes very easy after the grommet was in, since they couldn't shift! So here is what it looked like in the end, but it was a great alternative to stapling, and people love the fact that they can't lose any of the pieces. The pic isn't terrific, but hopefully it works! Anyways, i thought i would share! Hope it helps someone else out!

  18. I printed a bunch of avery labels and they look super cute. The return address ones i did in hot pink text to match my envelopes, and then the mailing address ones i put a straight hot pink border around it to tie it to the envelope too and it looked great! It was super easy too, i just couldn't be bothered to handwrite all of them!
  19. Your dress is amazing! I vote for the 1-tiered, but either would be great!
  20. I just posted on your other thread too... but i have to say that i love WW online. If you don't have one already, buy a food scale. It has really helped me understand portions (particularly of cheese, my fav.). I also have an air-popper for popcorn, and can eat a huge bowl of popcorn for only a few points, i bought some kernels seasoning and some becel spray and it is my treat of choice. Stock up on lots of vegis too, low fat dressings... Measure everything to start and it gets super easy... Good luck!
  21. You are definitely not alone! I joined WW online too very recently, and it is totally working! I have already dropped 5 lbs, which was so hard for me to do before! Now i have 10 to go and i will be so happy. So stick with the program, watch what you eat, exercise and the pounds will drop away. Your wedding day will be even more satisfying when you feel better about yourself. Good luck!
  22. Casey, we all have moments of weakness! Not worth hating yourself, just drink tons of water today, and try to eat a bit healthier! Montego, i am the exact same way, you are not alone! if i eat 1 chip, i want a bag, and then i want chocolate & baked goods... mmm... chips! Congrats to both you and Erin for breaking the plateau!!!
