  1. My dress was only $273.00 and my alterations were $125.00. I am still waiting to see if she was able to repair her mistakes! I may have to have a new dress.
  2. I love the dress! If my seamstress can't fix the mess she made out of my wedding dress, I may need to buy this from you in a hurry!
  3. First, thanks everyone for your words of encouragement. I needed it. It took four months for my dress to get here and I would hate to have to find another. I had to drive 150 miles to find a store that had one for me to try on. It was a 2005 model. I will keep you posted on what happens. Sylvia
  4. Well, I had my second fitting for my dress and all looked good but it was still a little long and needed taken in just a little more in the hips. Well, I went to pick it up on Saturday and I asked the seamstress if I needed to try it on again and she said no. So I took it home but was to busy to try it on until Tuesday. When I put it on I almost cried! The side seams of the chiffon layer over the skirt were crooked and puckered! There is some kind of pucker in the front also! She put a little bustle in the back for me except she used a white flower to hide the hook and my dress is ivory. What a moron. I don't know how she is going to be able to fix the seams. It feels like she cut to much material off and now it's not enough to go around my butt! What am I going to do? Should I make her take the chiffon off completely and refund my money? Should I make her buy the dress from me and then try to find another? I love that dress. It took me months to find the perfect one. I don't have much time left. I thought she was a reputable seamstress. She said she has been doing this for 35 years! I can't tell. My mom was a seamstress and she never would have sent a dress home with a customer looking the way this dress did. I wish she was here. She passed away in December and I miss her very much.
  5. I have a small one I'm not using. How big do you need? I will let you have it for just shipping costs.

    60 days!

I think I have everything under control at the moment. I was concerned about shipping all of this "stuff" to Florida, but I called the UPS store and they offer a service to hold your package until you pick it up for $5.00 per day per package. I feel much better about this. I was afraid it would get to the resort and they would not know what to do with it and ship it back! The only other thing I have left to stress about is the number of people coming. I am almost at 40 and the room will only hold 40 without dancing. Well, we want to dance and I may have to request the next size room. But what if it is not available? My MOH does not have her flight reservation yet. Well, I am starting to ramble. I apologize.
  10. I am getting married in Pompano Beach in September at my timeshare with a reception at The Brooks restaurant. The following day we are sailing to Grand Cayman and Cozumel on RCCL. I have 14 people cruising with me! There will be about 35-40 people attending the wedding that was originally planned for 20-25. It seems like everyone wants a vacation! I am using a planner for the cruise, marriage, license.

Lauderdale BM dresses altered My daughter is a beautician so she will do my hair cake ordered Not done fans almost complete - ran out of paper seating chart change the cake order to a smaller cake ship packages
  12. We are having a cook out after we return, but we are suggesting that people bring a covered dish and we will supply the drinks and meat. My neighbor is trying to get us a jazz band to play for free. I have a huge backyard.
  13. I actually purchased gift bags in a pearl ivory color, cut a hole in the middle of the bag and inserted a cut out in my wedding colors with "Welcome to our wedding weekend" printed on it. I took a beach chair stamp and stamped the tag then cut strips of paper and punched palm trees with a palm tree punch on top. They are so cute. I got the bags at the Deals dollor store as well as the palm tree punch. I got the stamp on eBay. In my bags will be: flip flops water with personalized label coin purse key lime cookies playing cards word search book booklet of things to do in Ft. Lauderdale thank you card coffee tea crystal light packets snacks
  14. Thank you so much for the list! It is the perfect music I have been looking for. I am having an iPod wedding in Pompano Beach, Florida and looking for music has been the most stressful part of the planning.
