So my update! The other day my mother and I went crazy ordering things! Now we're waiting on - Cake Topper Centerpiece vases for AHR Guest Book Pen Shell for our rings for the actual ceremony Cake Bags for the AHR Cocktail Napkins for the AHR AND! I just booked my BD shoot! Now if I can just get a head count for the cruise so I can start ordering stuff for the OOT bags!!
-
Omg I can't believe I'm actually going to go through with this. I just put my deposit with Brandi Grooms for my BD pics. Since the wedding isn't until May I had to wait till the last possible time to do them or the FI be getting an early present!! So my appt is for March 17. Although now that I think about it, thats St Pattys day, neither of us are Irish, but its a good reason to bring some wine to the shoot!!! Now to loose some weight and pick out some sexy stuff to wear!! Thanks JennyK for recommending her, she's been great thus far! I can't wait for my shoot!

Working in the casino industry I encounter MANY rude people. Dealers at the casino also, like waiters/tress make below minimum wage. They count on tips also. People think they are there to take there money, we're not. There's a big sign as you walk in "For Entertainment Purposes ONLY!" We really don't care if you win or loose, unless you are a real jerk! Don't get me wrong, I can be rude myself, but only when necessary. Today we where car shopping, I really wanted to tell the guy to leave us alone, we just want to look around, but I didn't. When Comcast decided to turn my cable off after I paid my bill even though they knew the payment was being drafted out of my account but still wouldn't turn me back on, I was quite rude and asked the supervisor to over ride the system. When he told me he couldn't, I had to ask him what he could do and what he supervised! Sometimes, I think you can only get somewhere being rude, most people in this day and age think its ok to be rude all the time, which is uncalled for. Especially when someone is doing there best to accommodate you.

Actually, what really got me was the fact that the sample dress that I tried on in ivory was sooo dingy & dirty, that I was not prepared for how "white" the actual dress looked when I got it, even though it was really ivory. So you may want to keep that in mind. I cant find the ones that I ordered from Avon that had a little bling, but for those of you still looking for something, here are some that they do have. They are only $6.99 now. This is them in silver: http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.as...rep_delivery=1 This is them in white, gold & black: http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.as...rep_delivery=1 Yeah I have those in Black and White. They hurt my toes though, they're to loose over the top of my foot. And yeah, I don't think it'll be that noticeable if the sole is white! I'll just have to get creative!!

The Engagement Ring
Cattie replied to BajaBride2010's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I originally wasn't going to wear my ering. I was just going to wear my wedding band. However I've now changed my mind, but I'm just having my diamond reset in a band to match our wedding bands. So there's always that option also. -
So I've been searching for ivory platform flip flops that aren't to plain. So I decided to just buy a pair of white flip flops and dress them up myself. What do you girls think? Here's a picture of the flip flops I just bought on ebay. This is my inspiration... Any ideas how I can make these in more of an ivory color? Or I'd even throw around the idea of putting some color in them!

I don't know Casey. I was thinking of waiting till the end of January to start mine, unless there's not alot that needs to be done, then I'll ask the seamstress' opinion!

Help me chose my AHR shoes!

#4, it says Christmas with the bow. I love those! -
When are you girls planning on starting your fittings for your dress? I've had mine for a while (long story) but have no idea when I should start all of this stuff!
-
I used to use Lancome. I love it until I found Bare Essentuals. I can't live without it. I do prefer Elizabeth Arden Mascara though. I would take a day, go to a few different makeup counters and see how you feel with it on. Make sure you tell them its for your wedding and you don't want it to feel to "heavy" and to show you how they're doing it as they go along. It's easy for them to do it since that's there job! But once you go to do it, you may get something drastically different!! Oh and I absolutely LOVE MagiX Face Perfector by Avon. It keeps you from getting the shine and keeps your foundation even across your face. Did I mention I loved it?

Pug - We're sailing RCCL also, so please post your list. That would be great! Here's the link to my luggage tags (thanks again Becks!) http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t28022 Dina - Thanks for mentioning that! Last year, my mom forgot to tell the bank about going on vaca and they ended up freezing her account. I totally forgot about that. I'll have to add it in.

LOL! May 10 is mothers day this year, so our wedding is there present! Also, the Saturday before we get there this past season's Bachelorette is getting married in Bermuda. I'm not sure where though!
-
We're doing the Sand Ceremony and a Hand Ceremony. Also afterward, we're doing a cake and champagne toast. Maybe some past brides can give a little more insight on what they did after they walked back down the isle. We plan on using the U2 song, Beautiful Day, so do we wait for the song to end if we go back to greet our guests? I'm quite confused now that you mentioned something!
-
Well originally we decided against an AHR, however my FMIL threw a fit about her family in Europe that won't be able to come to Bermuda. We've been together for 11 years, we have the house, ect. We rather would have had a nice cash gift from both parents to do something to our house, but low and behold that wasn't an option! So after debates, fighting, me having my breakdown stating I didn't want to get married anymore, we decided on a country club not to far from us. It's a little less then 3 weeks from when we get back. It'll be on a Sunday afternoon, we're doing a cocktail hour, buffet, dessert table. We're also doing our official first dance then, the daddy/daughter, mother/son dances. We're not doing a bouquet or garter toss. I'll have my laptop with a slide show of the actual wedding photos. I'm just going to get a champagne colored bridesmaid dress to wear that day, since we are having our marriage blessed earlier that morning in church.

Not at all! Go for it!

Hi girls. I figured I'd post this here since it's more about cruising then anything. I'm sending this letter out with my luggage tags I made for my guests prior to our cruise wedding. I think I covered all the bases, some of our guests have never cruised before, I'm just trying to make sure they have everything they need to know. Any feedback is welcome!! Welcome fellow cruisers!! First off, we would like to thank you in advance for attending our cruise wedding. Enclosed, we’ve attached 2 luggage tags per person to use on our adventure. If you need more, please feel free to let us know, we can always toss them in the mail. Secondly, since some of you are not seasoned cruisers, we’d like to give you a little heads up on things to know prior to our cruise. -Our first day is mainly a travel day. We will be leaving early, driving 2 hours to the pier, going through security check points, checking in for our cruise. Make sure you are dressed comfortable! -Carry on bags. Once we arrive at the pier, your luggage will be dropped off with the stevedores. Any type of medication should be in your carry on. Also, you will not see your luggage until possibly after dinner, so anything you need for the day should go in this bag, i.e. Passport, cash, jewelry, ID’s, ect. You also may not be allowed immediately to get into your cabin, so make sure this bag isn’t to large to carry around for an hour or 2. -Checking in, you must have all paperwork filled out. Please make sure you complete the online check in also to speed up the process of checking in at the pier. Have your passport, credit card, and all signed documents close at hand. If you plan on using cash against your room, you must go to the purser’s desk once we get on the ship and leave it there. -Packing, Dining in the main dining room requires no shorts. Men should pack khakis and polo or button down shirts for dinner. Woman, capri’s, skirts, ect are appropriate. Wedding day attire is casual, no suits needed! Men please be comfortable in khakis and a button down or polo type shirt. Woman, feel free to wear your favorite sun dress! The wedding is on the beach, so keep that in mind when picking out clothing and shoes! We are cruising from Bayonne, so make sure you pack a light jacket or hoodie, it tends to get chilly on the open decks at night. We can’t wait to see all of you on the boat!!

I'm going to be using Brandi Grooms Brandi Grooms Photography ~ Liberating Portraits ~ Boudoir Photography, Photography for Women, Portraits, & Wedding Photography JennyK used her and the photo's where to die for. She's located by Red Bank, NJ. Now if I could just get myself together and loose some weight, I'd be happy!
