  1. Thank you! Thank you!! Very helpful information. i will look into them all. Kisa
  2. Has anyone attempted to host a bonfire and bbq on the beach? I heard a rumor that Dreams does it but not sure and Gaby is impossible to get in touch with. I'd like to host a Welcome bbq, bonfire and drinks at Dreams the first night but not sure if its possible. If not Dreams, any suggestions on where one could host a bonfire on the beach? Thanks Kisa
  3. Hello, Last December I visited a sweet little chapel and fell in love with it because of its rustic beauty, but I'm having trouble finding anyone that has married there. The pics online are beautiful, but limited. I have a date on hold with them but if anyone has gotten married there or plan on getting married in the coming months and can share the following I would greatly appreciate it. How did/are you getting your guests to/from ceremony site? Did the church bells affect your ceremony? Do they provide extra seating or decorations? How are you decorating the church? Where did you take your post ceremony pics? Thank you. Kisa

He said that he could lower his fee if there were other brides interested in using him around that same time. My wedding is April 18 in PV. Are there any brides on April 17 or 19 that would be interested in using him? I'm getting married April 25th, but would use him starting April 24th for the rehersal dinner. Does that help?
  5. thank you for posting. Very, very helpful!

Edna is using her aswell and Jamie Lynn has met her (and is possibly using her for her RD, not sure). You can also find a review by Christinepg who used her as well. I'm using Prisar as well. Mostly working with Hector. Met them during our visit and they were very warm and welcoming. We went to their house, had dinner, met their kids. Very sweet couple and very honest and resonable. Enjoyed them alot. We are using them for a very large wedding (150) in April and they seem to be on top of it.
  7. I've made outreach to two makeup artists and both have said that not alot of black girls get married in PV so they don't specialize in darker complexions and may not have the make-up to support. I'm fine doing my own make-up but would like to leave it to the professionals. I thought about flying someone in, but already doing that with the photographer and hairstylist, so I have to find someone to do it in PV and I'm hoping this thread leads to a few suggestions. Let the search begin. K
  8. Great suggestions ladies! I've been to PV twice and each time I step off the plane my hair curls up into an afro, so this time I'm going to combat it with flying in my stylist for the week to work on it. Its a bit drastic, but hey, you only get one time to do this and I want to do it right. Agree with all the suggestion about Aveda. They are the best!
  9. I hope they do it in low season. We have over 100 guests staying there and coming in from South Africa and Australia. It would be a shame if their experience was ruined by a jack hammer in the next room.

I was the same when I saw the DD quote. I decided to go with Prisar but also got quotes from other wedding planners. Try EM weddings, MarWeddings and there are a few others. I agree that you can do alot of it yourself and yes, Gaby is overwhelmed. We are having our guests stay at Dreams and because she is doing another wedding the same day we decided to have our ceremony somewhere else. I have to be the center of attention that day and I'd hate to see another wedding going on at the same time. If you want more recommendations on wedding planners I can send you a list. We met with them in person and they are all very helpful. K
