  3. I could just see it now. As you enter the pedicure room, "please no tipping the workers."
  4. Ooh! I just thought to look on Etsy!! Look at the cute green monster!! Etsy :: nissalisa :: Green Monster Fun OOOH!!! I want to learn how to sew, so bad!
  5. Make these for the kids' OOT bags!! The kiddos will love them. Anyone know of any patterns for these? I've seen kids with a duck one and I've also seen a frog. Any other ideas for cute animals you could make into a hooded towel of cuteness? -AR
  6. Here's the template. I included four versions in that document: 1. The pink/orange background with the outline. 2. A blank outline in case you want to use your own background. 3. An outline with the background the brown bottom border -- as I used it. 4. A sample (my first page) using the fonts/text boxes where I had them. I used two non-standard fonts that you will want to install: Blackjack Black Jack Font | dafont.com and Fleurons (for the little symbol on the side). Just pick a dingbat font you like and put a little icon in between the date/location if you choose. Let me know if you have any questions. I haven't printed them yet... so I will let you know how the final product turns out later. Hope that helps! (i like that guy) Boarding Pass Template for BDW.doc

  9. Wow! This thread exploded overnight. Thanks for all the comments. I would have used photoshop... but my laptop doesn't have it and I don't have the money to buy it again... so I just used MSFT Word (07). To make the background, I found a pretty textile print that I liked (from here: Indian Textile Patterns,Designs for Fashion Designers,For Housewives) and put it into word and colorized it to make it white. I really didn't think the shape looked like what I wanted, so I actually took two of the designs and manipulated them around to get a pattern that I liked. I used the freeform shape tool to draw the funky wavy shape and filed it with a gradient. I used the snipping tool in Windows Vista to do a "screen capture" and made the two in to one graphic. To make the boarding pass shape, I used the rounded-corner square tool and made two of them... one long and one short... and put them together. I then made a white square to temporarily hide the intersecting lines. I took another screen capture to make it one graphic and then made the white area transparent so I could put my background in it. There really is an easier way to do it, but I was ticked that I didn't have the right tool and did what I could using Word. I'll post the template shortly. The fonts that I used were Calbri and Blackjack (blackjack from dafont.com).
  10. I picked Moon Palace because of the group booking benefits (free nights and private functions) and the fact that it is SOO big that people can find places to "get away" if family drama creeps in. I do have to say that the carriage was also a huge seller.
  11. OOOH!!! The more I read this thread the angier I get over it! What jerks!
  12. Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering if it was too much information... I have to balance the amount of information because he has a lot of missionary friends and family that don't have regular access to the internet -- so they will need as much as possible to make their choice... I just hope it doesn't overwhelm the other folks. Thanks for the info on the metalic cardstock. We weren't really planning on printing anything on it -- maybe doing some heat embossing.
  13. I can't decide between a pink (azalea metalic) or an orange metalic ticket window holder thingie... Any suggestions?
  14. Weird. I got the same message and then tried again and it worked. Here is the root link -- you can find the instructions through that site if it doesnt work again. Chandelier crystals, chandelier crystal prisms, chandelier prism, sun catcher crystal prisms, crystal wedding tree
  15. Hey Ladies, I finished draft 1 of our boarding pass STDs. What do you think? The black dot in the corner is for a hole punch... so you can ignore that I'm working on finalizing some stuff (ahem, actually booking the wedding) as well as one more "response" page ... but I'm not sure what I want the response page to look like yet. Feedback would be appreciated... especially on the letter. I didn't want to dwell on the fact that I know people aren't going to come -- but I also wanted to acknowledge what everyone knows that we know. -AshleyRose
  16. Oh man! This SUCKS. You plan a beautiful DW and this stress is not something you should have to deal with. Good luck. I'm so sorry.
  17. I know all about being ticklish! I couldn't even imagine. I have a hard time with regular pedicures!

  20. Haven't seen the stage show either... no one sang or danced in the aisles... but it was mostly old people in the showing and they put us in the smallest theater possible. They said 12 of their theaters were playing Dark Knight. Err... yeah. It was good. I have a lot of the songs stuck in my head now.
  21. *jaw dropping* That's so cool! Your makeup looked beautiful!
  22. My FI loved it. He kinda went along cause it is the "nice" thing to do... but he was laughing and smiling as big as I was.
