Anyway, I have been trying to reach someone, anyone from Le Meridien, but I have not heard anything back. I have tried filling out the rfp, tried calling leaving messages, I believe to Carla, but I did not get a call back. Would you mind sharing any information you may have on their wedding packages, options pricings... etc..etc..?? I would really appreciate it!!! anna

Aeroo, Thank you so much for all the information. like Shay, I haven't heard anything back from either Zulma or Paty. I even spoke to Paty on the phone few days ago and she advised me to send an e-mail to her with specific dates, requests and information. But, I think her e-mail box is completely full, and after trying for three days I basically gave up. I am thinking of calling her or Zulma again tomorrow or Monday. I will most likely have guests with children to stay at Gran Porto, and my family members stay at the Royal, and I was wondering if guests of Gran porto was allowed to enter the premises of the Royal and vice versa? Thanks for all of your help! I really appreciate it! anna

Hi Becks, I have a really tight budget, and I am having hard time even getting a clue as to what is going to cost us for the ceremony, reception and etc. What you are having sounds really really awesome, and we are anticipating about 40 guests. Oh wow, I just noticed you are from Montreal!! I went to McGill! Aside from that.. I contacted the resort about three times now.. even tried calling two days ago, and spoke to Paty. She told me to write an e-mail to her with a description of what I am looking for, but I got an e-mail notification letter saying that the delivery will be delayed!!! I tried calling the hotel today, but their phone system is not working.. This is making me a bit nervous, since I am planning to get married in coming December!!!

Just in case there are other brides who are considering Al Cielo, I just heard back from Donaji that the place is NOT CLOSING! They are in fact planning to add more rooms, and the construction is scheduled to start in May 2009.

Hi JennyK, Hope you will have an awesome time at your site visit! I am considering Le Meridien as one of the options for our wedding site, and I am a bit concerned with the beach condition... I am hoping for a beach wedding, and I read in someone's review that the beach condition is not so great at Le Meridien... Would you mind checking out the beach condition when you are out there? Do you have a wedding coordinator you are working with? Also, I think I read one of your posts saying that you are coming from Toronto... I am still searching to find the right place! We have guests with kids, and a lot of resorts I liked won't allow kids. Royal seems to let kids in for the wedding, so I have contacted them for available dates in Dec. Does anyone have any suggestions to which resorts would be a good choice that allows kids to attend the wedding and reception other than Royal?
