    When looking to find a place an affordable destination to get married I went to Apple.com picked a few hotels and destinations and put in a few different dates and times. For example, I picked the Dream Tulum resort in Riviera Maya because of the 10 mock up trips I faked booked through Apple it was the least expensive. With roundtrip air, 7 nights, and taxes it came to 1447.00/pp. Hope this helps.

    Your wedding sounded spectacular. I love the idea of a bon fire post reception. It's sooo unique. Another perk of destination weddings!!!

    I wouldn't pay anymore then $1000 on my wedding ring. I think the engagement ring should be the more expensive ring

    If your doing OOT town bags and are expected to also give out favors a nice favor may be to make a donation to a special cause in honor of your guests. We are giving a donation to St. Jude's Childrens hospital. You donate howeve much money you would like and they will send you however many bookmark/scrolls you need.

    Just remember most of the time the bride always stresses over the little things. If something is not perfect it's ok the guests will never notice. Besides it's paradise.

    I was originally planning a traditional wedding with 125 guests. We were going to go to The Merion in Cinnaminson. The cost for the Saturday wedding reception would have been $21,000 and a Friday would have been $19,000...how ridiculous. We have sonce decided to go to Riviera Maya Mexico. We will go for 7 days pay for our mom's and our wedding and still pay less then $10,000!!!!! It's outrageous the cost for 1 night in Jersey compared to 7 nights in paradise!!
