  1. I hate to do this but I feel the need to provide some info...Amanda has already hijacked the thread but I'm going to add my 2 cents .. for what it's worth lol I had 1 song for my BM, MOH & myself to walk down the aisle to and to be honest you won't need more than 1 song. The reason why I say this is because they get you to walk pretty much right away and by the time one song finishes you will be standing there waiting for a while. The "aisles" aren't that long. All 3 of us walked down before the song even finished. I had the 1 song to walk down the aisle to then 5 songs that played during the ceremony, signing etc. Honestly, I don't even remember hearing them and if you have guests I'm sure the music will be turned down so they can hear you (even with a microphone) say your vows etc. I then had 10 "steel drum band" songs with a carribean/beachy theme to them that played after the ceremony. We barely got through the 10 songs then we had our pic session on the beach etc. Personally, I had 1 cd with 17 songs. 1 to walk down the aisle to, 5 wedding/instrumental songs to play during the ceremony and then 10 songs to play during toast, pics etc. 1 song to dance to and that was it. This is just my opinion but if you give them too many cd's they won't know what to do with them lol
  2. FYI ~ We should use this thread as our chat thread. I'll start another GTKY here...so that we don't all get confused

I was a little skeptical at first but he was a lot of fun to work with and the pics turned out great. I was considering bringing my own photographer. A day pass is required if they are only coming in for the one day or if you have someone coming for the entire week they would be considered your guest and I would use the "uncle" term as well

  10. Another thread of Getting To Know You for the SWO Brides/Wives Get Together. (I hope you don't mind that I've added "Wives" because I'm no longer a "Bride" and most of us will be married by February) Children! Do you have any? How many do you plan on having? I have 2 children from a previous relationship. Brandon is 10 and Kayla will be 7 on the 14th. I also have 2 step-children. Justin will be 9 on the 13th and Karson is 7 1/2. Brandon & Justin are in grade 4 and Kayla & Karson are in grade 2. We have no plans to have anymore children of our own. We plan to adopt a child in 2-5 years.
  11. I think we all have great jobs...wives & soon to be wives..how much harder can it get?!?!?! lol Ohh I just had a thought...being a mother, wife & working FT..ya...I'll take it..most days LOL Starting a new thread with a new question now. Ohh and Amanda..I've been around..up to my eye balls in Street Letter Boxes & Priority Courier parcels LOL
  12. I had a CD with a total of 17 songs on it. There were 7 "wedding" songs. I didn't have any guests so no music played until my BM & MOH walked down the aisle. We continued with 6 more songs that played during the ceremony but not as loud. The timing couldn't have been perfect because as soon as the last "wedding" song played it went into the Steel Drum Band songs we had. There were 10 songs that played during champagne, pics etc. You can definetly do 2 separate cd's but there would be silence in between changing.

  14. Just a heads up since you are getting married at ROR. Michael is now doing TTD Sessions. There was a bride here that had Michael do some photos at Dunn's River and when I spoke to him when I was there 2 weeks ago he said he was looking into doing more TTD sessions. Just an FYI ;-)
  15. I sent her notorized copies of my driver's license & passport and didn't have any problems. I also scanned my copies into my computer and sent them to her via email and she never said anything. She did not ask for a notarized copy of my birth certificate when I got there either. Good luck & woohoo you are getting close!!!!
  16. Depending on the weather..I had fake rose petals and they blew away before I even got there. I gave them to Chandlyn and she said "no problem" ;-)
  17. Apparently he is an adults only doctor but will see children who are in need because there are only 2 ped. lipid clinics in ontario - Hamilton & London. Just curious Thanks for the article! I have no intention of medicating her at all. She was diagnosed 3 years ago with high cholesterol. Apparently it's genetic. She is on a strict diet but it doesn't help at all. If anything it's preventing her from gaining weight. She is 7 (well almost) 4 feet tall & 44 lbs..skin & bones!! Anyway...this was totally off topic..sorry!
  18. This is for the K's ;-) Do either of you know of a Dr. H (ya long shot - don't remember how to spell or say his name) that works at the London Hospital - the teaching hospital? Apparently he is a Lipid Specialist etc. or whatever you call them - ya I'm not good at this - anyway...my daugther has high cholesterol (another long story) and is being referred to him because we are moving to London. She currently sees a specialist at the Pediatric Lipid Clinic through Mac and apparently they don't have a Pediatric Lipid Clinic in London. Any thoughts?!?!?!

Did anyone use Michael for a DVD? Was it worth it? Your opinions are appreciated! If it's only the 2 of you then I would say that 1 hour is fine. I had just over 2 hours of photography time and I had to go through 850 pics to narrow it down to 50 pics on CD. I ended up getting a total of 103 (12 included in package and 91 extra). So, if it's just the 2 of you I wouldn't go for more than 50 pics on the cd. We went over because we had 4 other ppl with us and liked alot of the shots they were in. You could go with a smaller package of pics on cd and just upgrade when you are there as well..you might get a bit of a deal too ;-) Just my thoughts ;-)
  20. As you can tell I'm at work & bored..so I was thinking about our get together and thought it would be a good idea to do a "Get To Know You" I'll start by picking a topic and after everyone answers we'll start a new topic. Where Do You Work? I am employed with Canada Post as a Supervisor in the Transportation Department (Parcel Delivery). I will be moving to London Mid-Late January and will be working at a Letter Carrier Depot. I currently work 11am - 7pm Monday to Friday - however with Christmas coming I will be working 3 weeks straight until late at night..AARRGGHH SAVE ME!!!!
  21. As far as I have read/heard the max is 50...but I'm not sure if that is correct. Either way it sounds like you will be fine!
  22. I hear ya! What's even worse is that I was playing connect 4...it's was pouring out so whatelse were we to do...well I could think of something..but... lol
  23. So is it between London & Woodstock or Woodstock & KW? I'll have to look at a map..I'm confused lol
