  1. Here are some random pics from our trip including the Suite we were upgraded to the day before our wedding. I've uploaded them to Photobucket. If there are any questions let me know Jamaica Slideshow - Random Pics

In all your pictures your hair looked fabulous....but where there any problems with it being down? It wasn't humid at all. The weather was nice. It was sunny for a bit then it was overcast for a while. The curl held for a while but it did start to fall out. When they curled my hair she didn't fluff out the curl..which is a good thing because within 30 minutes they started to fall a bit..which was the look I wanted. I have funny hair though. It's naturally curly so it tends to frizz a bit anyway. All in all it worked out well. No problems with it down ;-) Now if you were getting married between April - August I would say put it up

I'm trying to decide if I want the extra time too. I don't think I'd need a full 2 hours extra though. maybe just an hour and I can pay for that seperately...I figured that much out! thanks again! Personally, I think you will need 2 hours. I had 2 hours & 25 mins and I was able to get everything that I wanted. Pics prior to the ceremony, ceremony, beach & cake cutting. That's just my personal opinion though. Also, I know I went over the 2+ hours and he didn't charge me extra. Just my thoughts ;-)

  6. Hiya! I recently returned from ROR and hopefully I can help you. I personally requested 2 additional hours of photography and 50 pictures on a CD. I had the Royal Package so I also got 25 mins of photography included. I sent in my confirmation via email as to what I wanted. After the ceremony etc. I was able to view all 846 pics Michael took. I was told to pick the 12 pics I wanted printed and then 50 I wanted on the CD. I ended up picking a total of 91 photos and then the 12. I got a total of 103 pics on the CD, 12 pics printed and all the low res pics (846 in total) on the CD. You can't print the low res but you can go through them at home and order more through the photoshop via email. I paid for the original package I wanted when I got there and then paid for the additional 41 pics after we looked at them. I was able to break up part of my 2 additional hours by having them come after dinner for cake cutting pics and 15 minutes in both of our rooms before the ceremony. I'm almost positive I went over by close to 30 minutes in time but was not charged anything extra. So, go with what you want to start off with and other than the additional time needed you can change it when you get there or even after the ceremony. The additional time is what you need to be more concerned about. They have alot of weddings they do so need to know in advance. I personally liked the idea of printing my own pics this way I print only what I want. I also think the 2 hours was enough time. HTH!
  7. Woodstock is in between but it's rather small...not sure there would be much there to do lol
  8. I voted Kitchener because it's a bit more central. London would be better but hey...what can you do lol
  9. So we have tentatively decided on Saturday February 21st, 2009 for the Southwestern Ontario Brides Happy Hour. Now we need to pick a location. Here are a few suggestions but open to other locations. Please vote & reply with your choice as well. THANKS!!
  10. So..we have 4 right now for the 21st. I can start a poll for you Amanda....look for it in this forum.

LOL Actually I think that's what we're doing for my bach. party...anyone want to come!!?? lol HAHA Pole Dancing Lessons..Hubby will like that LMAO! I can do some research later today and find a spot that is central. I think we should put up a poll to vote on location and then I can do a search from there... That means you Amanda..you're the
  13. OK..I'll be the meanie... February 21st it is!! Now... WHERE?!?! lol
  14. I did a hair trial here and took a bunch of pics. When I went to book on the Monday at the Spa I brought the pics and then asked them how much. I'm sure it's all different once you get there. Again..make sure you have enough time ;-)
  15. It cost me $52 to have all my hair curled (no washing) and then my bangs pinned to the side and some hair at the top pinned as well. This price included the 10% discount. This applies for the brides only. My sister didn't have her hair curled and it cost her $30 to have it pinned to the side and a bit on the top. It's a little pricey and they do everything REALLY slow so be sure to give yourself some time. The stylists arrive at 8:30am. I booked on Monday and my wedding was on Wednesday.
  16. Hey Spreadsheet Freak! Where are you today? LOL So...what day does it look like?
  17. I wanted to add one small disturbing detail of my trip & one great detail about my trip that I forgot in my review. When we arrived and our luggage arrived to our room we weren't there. We were over 1 room in my BIL's. Jeff went over quickly and met the bell hop there and got our luggage but as it turns out 2 bottles of perfume were stolen out of my suitcase. 1 Dolce & Gabba Light Blue & 1 Kenneth Cole Reaction. Both were in their boxes. I thought something was strange when I went to open my suitcase and noticed 2 straps were hanging out & they weren't hanging out when we got off the plane..so...yes...someone stole my perfume and I had nothing to wear for the week. One great thing that happened was when we met with Chandlyn we didn't get an opportunity to reserve a restaurant (yes you have to stand in line the day before & book for the following evening) as a rehearsal dinner. My emails with her stated we would have to go to St. Ann's (buffet). When we met with her Jeff asked her if she could arrange a dinner at Tushima for the 6 of us (2 of my guests were in Standard rooms and this a la carte restaurant didn't apply to them) and she came through for us. We were able to go to the restaurant 15 minutes before the doors opened and placed our wedding party gifts at their chairs. It worked out great!

Sorry for all the question, but I was hoping to have a late ceremony and I had that all planned on what to do but they are fully booked and they only had 11am free so now I have got to replan. Thanks! The only things I brought myself were my flowers, the feathered pen & rose petals (but you can't see them because they blew away) I also brought my own champagne flutes for dinner & cake cutting set as well as cake topper etc. I kept my dress on all day! It wasn't really hot and the sun was only out for a bit (during the ceremony & pics thankfully) and then it was overcast. But yes, you only do it once so I kept it on all day! The 11am wedding wasn't that bad..not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I had lots of time to relax and enjoy myself. The only concern with an 11am wedding is getting my hair done. I got up at 6am and I was still running around like a mad woman. So plan that part very well!

(would be a nice gift for my girls and our moms) Are you able to have Micheal take pics during your dinner and reception? Sorry for all the questions. Your pictures show all the love and fun you had that day. susanna Hi Susanna, We didn't have guests at our wedding. Just us & the wedding party. Chandlyn originally wanted to set up chairs regardless and we had to tell her no..it would look silly to have chairs with no guests lol. If you have guests the chairs would be on the grass on either side of the aisle. I've seen pics before of this set up but don't have any on my computer to show you. I got the parasols through weddingfavors.ca They are located in ontario so shipping didn't cost much and it was quick. I think they were around $8 each...I can't remember now sorry! I had booked extra time through Michael. So, I split up the time I booked for someone from the photoshop to show up during the cake cutting ceremony. They have a few photographers roaming the resort taking pics of guests etc. As long as you let them know that you want someone there they can arrange it..it will just cost $$ for the time ;-)

Was it that dude you hired We went with the standard ceremony. I think it lasted like 20 minutes from start to finish..although it may have been a bit longer for picture taking. Otherwise, it was quick & simple - the theme of our wedding lol We originally had booked a boat through ScubaCaribe (sp?) for 1 hour but then found out my sister was pregnant and it probably wasn't a good idea. We went back to our room to freshen up..had a few drinks..lunch..then dinner & saw the show after. I thought I was going to be bored but really it worked out nicely! We even when and lounged on the beach for a while..it was nice & relaxing!
  21. Sorry..here are the 12 pics I had printed as a part of the Royal Package. Again, the printed pics are much better than how they are posted on photobucket..for some reason they don't come out as clear. These pics are not part of the original slideshow. Thanks! Slideshow #2 ~ 12 Pics Printed
  22. Thanks sweetie!! I have 3 parasols you can use/have Quote: Originally Posted by BachataBride OMG Tanya!! I love the pictures!!!! The Thank You one is perfect!! I'm so stealing it! I love the one of you girls jumping up with your parasols too!! It looks like you had so much fun!!!
  23. I purchased an additional 2 hours & 50 pics on a CD. I then upgraded to the 100 pics on CD because I went over on my selections. This is what I got: 2h25m Photography Time 103 Pics on CD 12 4x6 printed w/photo album Total Cost: $680 Dinner @ Mammee Bay was great! Only problem was that they ran out of baked potatoes so we got what looked like tator tots instead lol..no problem. Also, for the bride & groom they serve you the soup & salad and your meal. Your guests will have to go to the buffet for soup & salad but again...no problem Quote: Originally Posted by jen&tyler Congratulations!! You look beautiful. How was the dinner at Mammee?

I am soo glad you had such an amazing time. You got me even more excited now!!! One question for you .... who is the designer of your dress?? maggie sottero? Thanks! I got my dress from the Toronto Bridal Outlet - they have a website - I don't know who the designer is though..not maggie! My dress was $625 in total and included a clutch & wrap - that I didn't bring with me. I love the drink shot too ;-)
