  1. I did mine last week and I had a BLAST. My photog gave me some wine just because she thought it would make good pictures. Just be confident that you look great and your FI loves you just the way you are. Have fun, try to look at some victoria's secret poses and add your little touch. I could do that every day! it was that much fun. You'll get out of there feeling sexier than ever! I'm dying to tell FI and I have 5 more months to keep it a secret! Its eating me inside haha
  2. Thats insane! Doesn't her mom know all the psycho people that are online. Good job reporting her! Hopefully she won't just turn around and create a new one like FI's daughter did. She's 13 though but FI still reported her.
  3. Are you having a rehearsal dinner the night prior? Are you doing a private event or are you just having everyone meet at one of the restaurants? I'm thinking of doing something informal and just having everyone meet at one of the restaurants, because they are already paying for all that food, no sense of having a private event if I'm going to have one the next day for the wedding you know? Is that tacky?
  4. I'm also getting married at Azul Beach later this year. If anyone wants pictures besides the ones that are in the hotel, feel free to email me and I can share some. My email is [email protected]
  5. Casa de campo is the best resort hands down! I used to live there and its my favorite place in the world. IT was my first choice to get married there, since I was 4! lol I always knew that the church in altos de chavon was the place I was going to get married because altos de chavon was my first home. But when it came to really select a place for the wedding, I decided I wanted a small intimate affair, and given the fact that a bunch of my family still lives in the dominican, the guest list would have been 200+ guests, and we decided to do Mexico. That being said, there is an international airport which is 10 minutes from casa de campo and about 25 mins from bayahibe where sunscape is located. Casa de campo has both plans, the all inclusive and the european plan. You can stay at the hotel or rent a villa enough to fit you're whole wedding party. Let me know if you need more information or email me at [email protected] I also have a friend that is a wedding planner there and I can put you in contact with her.
  6. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I'll look into those places I really appreciate it
  7. Everything looked perfect. Your dress is absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad to read your review, I'll be getting married right there in 5 months. I really cant wait. I hope to see more pictures.
  8. We want to have an after party immediately after the reception, for the younger group (my friends and Fi's friends). Our wedding is going to be at Azul Beach, and we would like our reception to end around 9:00pm, and have everybody gather back at 10:30 or so go out to a beach bar and keep celebrating. The reason we are doing this is because my parents, grandparents, aunts, etc are bother by today's music. I know its my wedding but we're trying to keep the peace. I don't want to have a super boring reception, I'll still have some nice dance music to warm up people, but the actual fun crazy dancing will happen at the after party. Do any of you guys have any suggestions or where we could go? a nice beach lounge or bar?
  9. Anybody dealing with Fabio at Karisma? I'm getting married at azul beach and he's my wedding coordinator. I have the hardest time with him, because sometimes he takes 2 months (I'm not exaggerating) to reply to my emails. I sent him a question regarding the chairs for the reception and ceremony, and the wedding arch, late in April, and this is the date that he has yet given me an answer. He replied 2 days after saying that he will get back to me once he has an answer and its been 2 months. Ugh! I just wish they were faster and more accurate with their responses. I feel like I need to get everything out of the way because if not when the wedding comes in November we'll still have a bunch of things unanswered.
  10. I'm getting married at Azul Beach owned by Karisma. Which one of all the Azul are you considering?
  11. For you ladies that did DIY passport invitations, what kind of paper did you use for the inserts? I'm going to use envelopments folded cards for the outside but for the inside I want something not as thick but also not see thru. I printed a mock up at work on regular paper and I can see the stamps from the next page and I don't like that. You know what I mean? And I think if I do cardstock it will be too thick, but regular paper is too thin. Is there a happy medium? Thanks
  12. Thanks for the info. My wedding is at Azul Beach in November. We're having about 40 guests, what do you think about the wave lounge for a cocktail hour and the terrace for the reception?
  13. Thank you so much! I've been stressing myself thinking about how I could crop that song because I want to use it either when the ceremony ends, or for the bride and groom entrance! You are a doll thanks again
  14. FI wants to walk in to "another one bites the dust" and he wasn't kidding lol.
  15. Thanks for the replies. Actually I'm doing my OOT bag down there. My brother lives in cancun, he and his girlfriend will assemble the OOT bags for me, but i'm trying to think what to tell them to buy. I didn't know they had a walmart there, I'll definitely tell him to check it out. He's never even heard of the whole OOT bag idea, even though he offered to do it for me, he's kinda clueless lol Paula how can i search for your bags?
  16. What mexican goodies would you put in the OOT bags? I'm thinking of mini tequila bottle, mini hot sauce, maybe some home made pastries from one of the local places, but what else? Any ideas? I'm open for suggestions. Thanks
  17. Becky your book is amazing. You did an excellent job. Was the album flush mounted? What a great mother's day gift
