  7. When we get married in 2010 FI's children will be 18 and almost 16. I would like to present them with something or somehow include them more than just standing up for us. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are going to do the civil ceremony at home a week prior to DW so the kids can sign the certificate in Negril and be the MOH and BM. FI and I will have been together for 6 years by 2010. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
  8. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for non AI resort/villas in Negril. We are trying to decide on a place to have our wedding and want a small intimate non AI beach front resort/villa that is okay with kids. Has anyone been to Coco La Palm, Rondel, Nirvana or anything similar Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! Shawn

  12. I love to scrapbook. I went to a Creative Memories party several years ago and got hooked! If you don't feel like using your own writing you could have a friend help or you could type it on the computer and then insert it. We have several scrapbook events here that are fun and you get lots of ideas from. I wouldn't worry about a mindset for the bachlorette party sometime the candids are the most fun. I'm done scrapbooks for each of my nephews and they look looking through it. You can also create a digital scrapbook using software and then have it sent to you. My mom has done that through Kodak because she didn't have time to do one herself. Hope this helps...If you have any questions or need help I'll see what I can do. A group of friends are planning a retreat sometime this fall. Where going to stay at a hotel and spend the weekend scrapbooking. I'm not sure how far you are from Duluth/Superior but I could let you know what we have planned. Good luck

  14. WOW!!! What an awesome list and tool. I'm way ahead of the game since I've got two years but thanks for the list/spreadsheet. I'm sure it's going to be very handy!!!
  15. I also have 2 years to plan. We've set a date and picked the location (Negril, Jamaica) but that's all. I agree that next year is way to soon!!! There seems like a million things I should be doing! Congrats and Happy planning!
  16. I'm happy to see that so many other "brides" did a civil ceremony at home before the DW. I've been thinking about it but wasn't sure how it would work. I originally wanted to get married on the date that we met but it's the day before Easter in 2010 and Jamaica basically closes down on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. It is also the 3rd busiest time to visit Jamaica. So we were going to wait until after the 15th since rates drop almost 30%. Maybe we could work it out getting married here first. What about getting married here 1 year early...Is that too far in advance. I just don't know what to do? Sorry for the rambling!! Any suggestions? I know this is corny but I want our wedding date to signify something in our relationship...We met on 4/3, first date 4/14, moved in 2/14 etc. Should I just pick a date to pick a date??
