Well I am one of a few on this thread, but that is alright. FI and I have 2 kids together and our wedding is 6 months from today! Our daughter was not planned though, and I had her during my last year of nursing school. Then we decided to try and have another one when our friends were trying, so we went to Cuba for their DW and well...now we have our little guy. We would still like to have one more, but I said that would have to wait until we were married. Might as well have one of them the 'old fashioned way'. LOL I don't really think that most people are starting families before getting married now, but I think it is happening more often because it is so excepted now a days. It isn't really uncommon for families with common-law parents anymore. Either way, it all depends on works for you. After all, kids are so amazing, and you really have no idea at all until you have your own! They are a blessing!

Sometimes I don't think that sitting with people you don't know is a bad thing, but of course it depends on how social the people are.

For our AHR we will probably do table numbers and have seating according to that, so people can sit in whichever chair they would like at their table. At the DW, I think we will just have the open seating, since the only possible situation we may have with guests, is FI parents, but if they both end up coming, I will personally talk to some guests from his side and have a verbal arrangement made so that neither one will feel out of place. For instance, if FI FSIL can sit with his mom, and a family friend that is probably coming could sit with his dad. If there are more family from FI side going, we can make sure that one parent isn't going to feel left out by the others. I can't see it being a problem, but it will jsut cover our bases.

I ended up getting thinner ribbon in both the green and pink color to tie around the invite once it is folded closed. I couldn't get the big ribbon to stop fraying. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t17645-4 Those look great. I love the stamp with the embossing. Can't wait to see the inserts.

Or can they? I guess we wil have to wait and see. If there are enough other things going on in the show, they could be happy. Besides, they could still give them issues in the relationship that they have to get through...right? I am just being hopeful that there isn't a car accident.

Your hair looks sooo great Rachel. It is different and it works. I think it was worth the risk!

He had them pretty much designed while i was working during tax season. Those turned out great. I didn't do the boarding pass invites, but the are a neat idea. I did a folder style invite for the DW and I think that I will do MIB for the AHR. Here are the invites that I made. Here's the front Here's the inside The pic behind the writing was done by my FI's little cousin. The inserts

It is still early. When prices first started coming out for Nov 08, they were high, but we just waited for a bit before booking. Even since we booked they have come down slightly, although with the fuel prices, they will probably start going up again. We went through a TA, so our cost is the airfare and AI hotel.

"Why not just say 'Thanks for coming down with us for our wedding' or something". I think those were his exact words. That is also why I leave a bunch of stuff at my Mom's, so he doesn't have to see it all. My Mom is also paying for some of it, so I have told him that, and it makes it a little bit better, but he still doesn't understand it.

You got me thinking, since I have several coloured charpie pens. I don't know why that wouldn't work. Thank you for the idea. Maybe I will grab my Mom's bubba keg and try it later today! Great idea!

I think that George and Lexie would make an adorable couple as well. He got upset because she told him he failed by one mark, but that was what drove him to realize how great he really was and that is why he stood up for himself to the chief. Maybe this will be what brings these two closer! Hmmm....

Congrats on your beautiful little girl! I must say that I love the b&w pic of her wrapped in the blanket. So adorable!

Any Young and the Restless Fans? **updated with fan site info**

I missed the last couple episodes, and I'm not sure I will catch tomorrows. Anything bad happen on Fri or today? -
We were totally off on our theory Rachel, although I did think that Erica and Callie were going to get together. I guess to finish testing that theory we wil lhave to wait until next season though, as I think it will be a short lived thing. I still think she is just curious and testing the waters. Will it be a permanent thing? I don't think so. I wouldn't mind seeing her hook up with Sloan eventually when he isn't so much of a sleeze. He did say that he was trying to change, maybe it will be the change to get Callie for himself!? Any takes on what could happen next year?

My FI is the first guy that I ever dated that was younger than me as well. Most of them were the same age as me, except the last guy before my FI. He was 7 years older than me, now if that doesn't make the younger guy seem even younger....10 years difference between one bf to the next!!! LOL. RRRRRoooaaarrrr!!! Oh wait...I did have a bf in junior high that was a week younger!! hehehe

We ordered my dress and my daughters dress!!! They should be in by the end of next month. We ordered them from ebay, so we are hoping for a good story to tell. Otherwise, we will order them from a bridal boutique. Like my mom said, for the price it costs to get the dresses from ebay, why not see. By the end of next month, we will still have time to order new ones if we aren't satisfied with them. Keeping our fingers crossed!!!

Trashing the Dress - answers please

At first my FI was not so sure about the TTD session, but now he is okay with it. I have had to tell him a few times that not only does it not usually wreck your dress, but that my mom is making me another dress to use for it anyway! -
Still Issues with PhotoSouvenir!!!

That is such great news! There was obviously a break down in communication between management and the WC, but that should be cleared up now!!! What a weight off your chest! Now you can worry about all the other wedding planning without having this issue looming! -
Welcome to the site. Wishing you all the luck in getting settled in the Tulum/Playa Del Carmen area.

Welcome to the forum from one Albertan Erica to another. Good luck and have fun with the planning.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It can be pretty nasty, but at the same time, there are worse things out there that people don't think about. I am with Ann on this, I am so not a germ-a-phobe. Two things that are a lot worse than the lemons are money and grocery carts. My mom just made my son a grocery cart cover because he likes to chew on the carts. I think that is probably where my daughter caught RSV from as well, either that or the toys at the Dr's office. Don't get me wrong, I am sure that some places don't wash them and some servers don't wash there hands, and I will probably think about it more often now when I go out. Oh yeah, if you want to stay away from gross, don't eat peanuts at bars. They have found traces of feces on them!! Ewww!

Congratulations, he is adorable. He sort of reminds me of my little guy, although he is 10 months and not so little anymore! They grow up so fast.

I am so glad to hear that everything went well for them. It sounds like everything has been worked out, but I think if it were me, I would still get it in writing jsut to play it safe.
