I just got a bridal shower invitation and wedding invitation from a girl who I know through a friend .... actually I hardly know her .. I didn't even know who it was, when I got the invitation, for a few minutes cuz I never knew what her last name was! I think I've seen her maybe 4 times .... which im wondering why the hell she invited me (can you tell I get sick of (traditional) weddings and showers!) anyways ... I'm not going to the shower or wedding (I already spent lots of money on concert tickets the night of the wedding ... so I'm going to the concert lol) ...but are you supposed to send a shower gift anyways or a card ...? I don't know what the proper etiquette is. I'll probably have to come up with a lie to our common friend to prevent drama ... cuz going to a concert isn't really a good excuse to miss a wedding. sorry for babbling

Does anyone know how many people the gazebo ceremony can hold? ... I saw a pic somewhere where the chairs were arranged outside the gazebo .... I'm just curious if 40 people will work...

Can anyone tell me if the symbolic ceremony can be done in english? This is what the website said ... "Most ceremonies are performed in Spanish however, if you are lucky, the officiate may speak English" not very clear lol

I'm pretty bummed about the whole thing cuz it was my number 1 and I have completely taken it off my list. I also emailed the WC letting them know that this is going to hurt their business. I said that I belonged to several bridal forums and most brides that haven't chosen a resort have decided against Karisma because of this crazy policy. Maybe if enough of us complain, it will get passed on to upper management ....

Oh ya thats way out of my budget! I kind of figured it would be .... oh well, back to my long list of resorts .....

Has anyone ever gotten a hold of the WC at the Xcaret Eco-Park for info or prices? It sounds like a couple women tried and never made contact so it was taken off their list. I would love to have my wedding there, but have no idea how crazy the prices are? Any help is appreciated!

Quick question for you ladies... The gazebo over the pool looks kind of small.. how many people will it hold for a wedding? and is this the only gazebo on the resort? Thanks in advance!

OMG no!!! EDR was on the top of my list! Thats the most unreasonable thing I've ever heard.

After looking at lots of professional wedding pics at EDR ... it looks like there are two reception locations outside under a big 'hut' next to a pool....? One looks much bigger than the other ... what are the names of these locations? I've been trying to search these forums but it seems reception pictures are what we have the least of... spanks!
