I am from Vancouver, Canada and I'm used to our bylaws where you basically can't smoke anywhere public, definitely not indoors and not even outdoor patios, public bus stops, etc. I'm a non-smoker so that works for me, but some of my wedding guests are smokers. Ideally I would love for them to be able to have a smoke somewhere, but I personally hate having my day at the beach ruined by someone smoking next to me, or the worst is having smoke from the next table waft my way while I am trying to enjoy a nice meal!
At this point I haven't decided on a wedding location but am most interested in the Dreams, Real, and Sandos resorts. However, I'd be interested to hear about any "smoking" experiences in the area.
Thanks! I don't think Mexico has jumped on the "clear air train" yet. They are a little behind the times. I am sure there is no smoking is certain areas but as for beach i believe it is fair game!
