So I didn't read all of the other comments, but read your thoughts. I would have been really hurt and disappointed also. I know that it is easier said than done, but try to put it aside and not dwell on it. When the time is right maybe you will have an opportunity to say something without it being too confrontational so that your FI doesn't feel like you are opening a can of worms. And for whose fault it is that she was not there/ didn't feel it to be a big deal.. Its no one but hers. She is a grown woman and should have known better. So I think that she is the one that looks like a jerk. i am sorry that someone special to you was not there for your special day.

I love the pics of the planning- beautiful... I didnt read through everything... But I have to say.... Coming from a professional ballroom teacher- you did VERY well at the dance. The 1/2 moons in cha cha cha looked really good. and the end w/ the flips and the dip were awesome! Nice JOB!

Seriously! Sunbrides flower is really pretty. The flower I have is about 4x4". It may big too big. I didn't have a chance to take a pic of it in my hair. And I don't want to pay $150 for a flower! I don't mind to DIY but I also don't want it to look cheesy!

AGH! So I went to Xmas tree shop and saw all these various colored flip flop key chains and thought that they would be cute for our AHR favors... so I bought 100 of them... Well the challange is what to do with them to make them not look cheesy and fun and festie?! Just put them in a tulle bag w/ a ribbon and a starfish? Put a cute saying on the ribbons? Any idea's?! Such beautiful rings on here. I am just getting to photo mine since DEC! OOPPPS. The shots never seemed to come out correct. this is the best I can do after several attempts. I love it. FI picked it out all on his own! IT is a center cut with baguettes on the side. really brilliant center stone and man does it shine!

So.. I found this pink peony that I LOVE at Michaels because it feels and I think looks really real. Now I wanted to put a flower in my hair for the wedding. On the side really, sinceI have shorter hair, pull one side back behind my ear... Question.. Do you think that it is too big to make a flower out of it? I was thinking of just putting a lobster type of clasp in the back. I don't think that a comb will hold it?! Here is a pic. Honestly. Too big? think that it will flop over/ too heavy? Or how can I secure it and keep it looking professional? THANKS FOR THE INPUT!

So I guess I will get this started! I am trying to get orgz'd! First off, how the heck is it that I am JUST tumbling along this "wedding planning journal" section?! I must always hit the "unread posts" and get into conversations from there! LOL! What a slacker I am! And the blogging?! I haven't even checked that out yet! OOPPPSS! Anyhow, The DW is at Dreams PC 4-4-09. I feel like I have made some headway thus far. I am loving that all the summer sales are in heat right now and trying to take advantage of that! We have our attire thus far.... Here is my dress... Love it! I think that I am gonna put a brooch / a flower at the sash.. I am not sure. and I also think that i am gonna tie the sash in the back so that it doesnt make my hips look wide! Here are my possible shoes: OR I want something that isn't high and that i can slip on and off since the ceremony and reception will be on the beach itself. We got FI's suit at Kohls for $95 bucks and it looks great... actually my man of honor and BM along w/ the 2 dads are wearing the suit also, just a different but coordinating shirt and tie. Here is the inspiration pic for FI's (again the actual one is at mom's!) : Shirt is a cream / light color and tie is: (matches my sash) Mom got her dress- here it is(although we ordered it in a LIGHT blue/ ice color with a hint of green in it. While FMIL's dress is a long dress w/ spagetti straps and it is a sag color. appropriate for her since she is close to 70yrs old. And of course... here is my engagment ring (which I never posted in the other thread! I am a total slacker!) It didn't seem to photo well. I am in love with it! he did such a great job! More to come! **UPDATE.... I AM WAY TOO EARLY TO POST THIS HERE, SO I ADDED A WITH THE INFO ON MY WEDDING PLANS UNTIL I AM READY TO UPDATE THIS FOR THE FINAL PLANNING PICS AS THE WEDDING GETS CLOSER.... Again sorry - i guess I was overly tired and excited to get this going!

Yeah! I saw this thread and had to post! I have a "MAN OF HONOR" also! It is my bro, I did it because I couldn't choose between the girls, and I didnt want a big wedding party. So we are just including the siblings as the wedding party! FI has a bro also for his BM. Perfect.... And although he is getting teased that he may have to wear a pink dress... Not really- he is really excited and honored. He is even planning my bachelorette party! Coed Naked is coming back! LOL Follow your heart - it will work out in the end and people will get over any weirdness they may have about anything. Let them speculate! Have fun - its your day.
