The executive VP and customer service manager from Karisma corporate office are currently down at this resort as we speak, addressing these various issues that my wedding party experienced." Let's continue to stay positive!!!! I felt really bad calling this review to everyone's attention. Especially the girls with weddings in the next 2 months. I don't want to cause panic. But if good changes come out of it, then it will be worth it. That's a good sign that the Karisma people are there this week. It sounds like the resort needs some serious attention. I didn't expect things to be perfect, but if all that she reports truly happened the way it happened, they need to be doing something about it. How in the world did you score a meeting with Fabio? I hope that it goes great and you are able to voice all your concerns and get some answers. I also don't see Luxe putting up with this either! I sometimes have doubts and think we should have booked at the Paradisus or Azul Beach. I'm not usually a big risk taker, but I felt confident that Karisma would open a great resort and their focus on quality and service would be consistent with their other properties.
  2. Ugh-Oh! Check out the latest review entitled "Beware Destination Wedding Couples" Puerto Morelos: Azul Sensatori by Karisma - Traveler Reviews - Beware Destination Wedding Couples!!! - TripAdvisor I actually had to stop reading it!
  3. I'm very excited about the price! I'll be sure to report back once I get it.
  4. They have changed their policy to something more reasonable, thanks to this thread and this forum!

I am trying to decide between a few different locations and resorts and the Sky Wedding is why I love Sensatori. We are paying for our wedding ourselves and I am in Grad school, so trying to be cost effective, which is difficult since we travel a ton and have become rather spoiled. Our guests are such a mix with some rarely traveling and will be happy at any resort, some travel regularly like us and have higher expectations from a vacation. Is everyone doing the reception and has anyone received a total of what their weddings are costing? I am just wondering what the averages are before I book this for sure. I don't understand how it costs so much per person for private events or cocktail hours when everyone has already paid so much for all-inclusive, is it just because it's private? I am anxious to see more photos and reviews. Did anyone not choose the sky wedding for a reason? Also, if you are having a wedding with friends and family here, are you leaving to go some where different for your honeymoon? One more... Do they let you stay there complimentary for your site visit? Thank you for your help and good luck to any brides leaving soon! Azul Sensatori is probably a good fit for you. I think it offers something for everyone from the seasoned traveler to the novice. It is hard to grasp the thought of paying per person at an all inclusive resort. The truth is they do it because they can. Some resorts cut you more of a break, but most all inclusive charge for private events. For set-up, tear down, tables/chairs, servers etc. Just think of how much that would cost at an at home wedding + food and alcohol. The good news is that open bar is included at AS. There are a few options regarding how to have your dinner. #1 is included in the wedding package, up to 40 people at Spoon Restaurant. Not private, but at no additional cost to you. #2 Preset menus starting at $12/person #3 Two buffet choices at $64/person and $71/person #4 Choose your own menu. I'm looking at all this now and coming up with $49-$56 per person To see where I am getting these numbers, click here http://www.karismahotels.com/wedding...t-kit-2009.pdf We are choosing a beach ceremony, but the Sky Wedding looks neat. We will be going on a separate honeymoon, like you, we are rather spoiled. No complimentary site visit, maybe if you found a super kick ass TA, they might be able to find a way. Have you seen these pics of the first Sky Wedding? azsskywedd Let me know if you have any other questions or if I have confused you more!
  6. OMG, I cannot make a decision for the life of me! I'm looking at all the options for tote bags. I am wondering if you went cheap, were you satisfied with them or do you wish that you would have went with something a little bit more expensive? Thanks for the help!
  7. I cannot wait for the holidays to be over! I'm ready to shop for OOT stuffers and decor and all this Christmas crap is in the way
  8. We'll probably get a simple 2 tiered cake for 20-30 people. We also plan on getting desert with dinner. I found a cheap one here Buy Wedding Mirrored Initial Cake Topper - Wedding Mirrored Initial Cake Topper Prices - Discount Wedding Mirrored Initial Cake Topper) that I plan on blinging out myself.

Many people who use the progestin-IUD called Mirena also have lighter or no periods but I wouldn't make a switch like that a month before your wedding because you can have some cramping and spotting as your body is adjusting. However, the IUD is great--you don't have to remember to do anything daily or even montly and it's as effective as a tubal ligation but completely reversible. If you don't want to get pregnant in the next two years or so I would definitely suggest it after your wedding. Monophasic pills can be taken continuously in order to skip a period but this does increase the chances of break-though bleeding. What pill are you taking right now? Yaz is a 20mcg pill so your doctor probably increased your estrogen dose to 30mcg? Do you smoke cigs? In the meantime ask your doctor about a pill that contains a higher dose of estrogen in a monophasic if he or she didn't already do this, especially if your spotting is unpredictable. Or, you can tailor the high estrogen dose to when the spotting occurs. For instance if it is only right before your period consider a triphasic pill like estrostep. If it is right after your period try a triphasic with a high estrogen:progestin ratio in the beginning like orthtircyclen. You may be able to switch back to a lower dose pill in a few months without breakthrough bleeding. Are more OBGYN's now more open to inserting an IUD in women who have not yet had children? I am on Nuvaring with a few minor annoyances. I'd love to be hormone free!
  10. Great find Morgan! I have added it to my bookmarks.

I am however really concerned for my friends and family who are spending alot of time and money to be at our wedding. Im nervous to have them arrive to a resort that smells of sulfur and has a horrible beach. I have been to 4 resorts in that area of the Riviera Maya since starting our wedding planning and depending on the wind the sulfur smell is there. It is something to do with natural mangroves in the area (whatever that is). After awhile it is not noticeable. I plan on giving everyone a travel candle in their OOT. But the brown water in the tubs is unexcuseable-they need to work that out!
  12. Here are some pictures that were posted on the tripadvisor forum. I'm sure Keith appreciates his pics on message boards across the web. But we need to see some good pics and good food. Hang in there girls, it will turn out ok! Picasa Web Albums - Keith - Azul Sensatori
  13. We chose Azul Sensatori over Azul Beach for 2 reasons. 1. The rooms at Azul Beach are very small and plain. There is really no area at the sink to set your things and the room with the toilet and shower is super tiny (if I remember correctly). There is one suite that looked super nice, but I hadn't seen it in person. 2. Azul Beach is a small resort. We liked that Sensatori would have more choices for dining and bars. Also the pools at Azul Beach are kinda like pools one would have in their backyard. Sensatoris pools are very nice (if they ever get warm). Hope that helps!
  14. I got my sand dollar brads from this site Silver Sand Dollar Brads for Discount Beach Wedding Invitations: Wedding Invitations by Formal-Invitations.com They also have cute shell ones.
  15. Very, very pretty. Congratulations on a great find. It will look amazing once it's altered!
  16. I love those! I came across those a month or so ago and I had a hard time deciding which one to put in my siggy.
  17. I have asked for a Wii, Wii Fit and Guitar Hero for my upcoming birthday and Christmas present. Of course I don't need to receive all of it, but one or two components would be great. I've been a good girl!
  18. Oh no....the owners must be at work. They have destroyed a puppy pad, tore it to shreads. At least they left one to poop on. I would not want to clean up that mess! But they still are cute.... puppy mess.doc
  19. I am so glad that you figured out how to post pics! Your wedding looked awesome. I love, love your dress! Your 'husband' is super handsome too! I like how they lit up the palm trees at your reception. I'm looking forward to seeing more later in the week. Congratulations and get some rest!
  20. Don't feel guilty! It's absolutely gorgeous

I will also hit you guys up with a review just as soon as I unpack and somehow make it back to the office today I will say that the wedding was beautiful and I was more then pleased with everything. Hope you all are well and are hanging in there okay. I am so glad that everything went well for you!!!! Hopefully you will have a light week at work so you can recover. You really don't need points to post photos. You can go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and upload them to that site. Then you copy the image code and paste it in your post. Another option is to go to Digital Photo Printing, Free Online Photo Albums & Digital Photo Sharing - Snapfish: or Shutterfly | Develop, Print & Share Digital Photos: Create Photo Gifts Online and upload your pics there to create an album. Then post the link that we can go see. Or you can email me your favorites and I will post them for you. jennyandbrad at yahoo dot com Quote: Originally Posted by Beecher2Be amysteele444: Welcome Back. Hope that you had an amazing time.
