The dress was $1600 and non refundable so it would have been $1600 down the drain plus the cost of a new dress. I bought a second dress from Neiman's for our bonfire and the alterations on it was $230 on a $400 dress! All she had to do was hemming and slight modification for extra belly room. Alterations are EXPENSIVE!

  3. Ahh, hang overs... as much as I hate them. I do miss them! LOL. I hope you feel better soon, Jacqueline!
  4. Just got back from the dr. They did the 20 week u/s today. Hannah is perfectly healthy. I'm so relieved and happy. I've gained 5 pounds this month alone. I think I'm at about 15 pounds total so far. I picked up my dress yesterday and it's fantastic. I can't believe she transformed the size 10 dress to fit me and belly. It's amazing what a corset back can do. The alterations were about $500 but totally worth it, cause I really wanted to wear my dress. The dress is form fitting and my baby belly actually looks really cute in it. I was all alone so didn't get pictures. :-(
  5. You're way stronger than me. I would have already tested 5 times! Good luck to you either way you want it to go. :-) Edited to add: I'm so slow and it's been so long since I've had an AF that I had no clue what the "I'm late" title meant until I opened the thread.
  6. This is what my cover looks like. We did the formal pages inside with our names customized on each page. I'll take a actual picture later. It was only about $42. I only needed 20 pages. I also got a special page for Steve and I to write our thoughts about the day.
  7. Hey RuiBride! Glad to see you posting here. I was showing at 3 months. More so at night though. I think a lot of it was bloat but you could defiantly tell I was preggo. They say the second time around you show quicker.

  9. Oh no, Lisa. Try not to worry to much. Our little ones are protected really well by their amniotic fluid. I'm sure he is fine.
  10. I love your cake, it was beautiful! You looked great! Congrats!
  11. OMG, I can't believe that. The COPS? Are they freaking serious? I hope you can get your money back from Visa and even better I hope they go out of business!!

I think on some level your unhappy with yourself because you gained that weight back, and trust me I know when you sad or depressed you just want to eat, but you need to take care of yourself first, hopefully he will see this and also want to change. Also, maybe I'm wrong but is their money problems as well? We all know how most men are, you say you want a DJ and all they see is dollar signs.. If their is a money issue then that could be a big part to why he is acting this way. Very well said, Tammy. I couldn't agree more. You know we are all here for you Dez!
  16. It's so cute! I love the colors. I can't wait to start Hannah's room after the wedding, I'm sure I'll be posting pics too! :-)

  18. OMG, how adorable. You have one beautiful baby Amy! Love the shirt, too!
  19. Ok, now that we have a little more back story, I can see why he might be acting like this. I really think before anything else you need to get him back on his proper dosage of medication. If he stopped the pills suddenly he was not properly weaned and it can cause him to go into a deeper depression. I'm assuming it's depression that he is going through. He needs to get back on a therapeutic dosage before he can even think about working through problems. People who are depressed don't think rationally and the more stress you put on them the more they shut down. I think you are doing a great job in being there for him and I know once he starts feeling better he is going to appreciate you so much. Just try to not take any of it personal. I'm working on becoming a psychologist, and have been around a lot of depressed people. I know it's difficult, hang in there.
  20. I'm so sorry you are going through this. But to be honest I think this is totally normal that you guys are a little stressed right now. Steve and I have totally been through our ups and down too, in fact just a month ago we had a huge blowout about some issues but we stuck though it and communicated and now are even better than ever. Every relationship is going to have arguments and disagreements. It's how you handle them that counts. I think his attempt to give you that card was his way of trying to make up with you. Not all men are great at direct communication. I agree with the girls that talking to a therapist would be great. Everyone can benefit from some premarital counseling. Good luck, Sweetie. I hope you start feeling better soon!
  21. Yay, I'm so glad you guys made it home OK. I hope Gwen loves sleeping in her new bed!
  22. I went to school in OK, so I've been to turner falls a few times. It is really fun and scenic. They have swimming areas with diving boards and the falls are so fun to swim around. I've never actually stayed in the cabins, but I'm sure as long as your not expecting anything "luxury" you would have a really fun relaxing time. If you're thinking about staying in town one of my favorite places to go is the Gaylord Texan. It's so much fun because they have everything you don't have to leave the hotel. A wonderful spa, breakfast and lunch buffets, a nice club, pools, sports bar, mexican restaurant, amazing steakhouse, even a wine bar! It can get a little pricey but it is defiantly one of my favorite "close" getaways.
