  1. Welcome Josh! You'll probably find out more than you ever wanted to know about weddings (and women)! Let us know how we can help!
  2. We registered at Macy's, DIllards, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. We wanted to spread things around for people all over the country.
  3. While I love Ann and her optimism, I think I'll need a 10 slip. If I do manage to drop 40 lbs, BDW Biggest Loser) I'll take you up on the offer!
  4. 36, 47, and maybe 64... 11 is definitely teal, way too green if you really want turquoise
  5. Hey girls! I totally fell off the wagon! I went out Thursday night with my BFF who was leaving town. I did ok with food on Thursday but proceeded to party like a rock star. We closed the bar down then went back to a friend's house to play pool. THe cab dropped me off at home at 5:30 am! I was trying not to get too drunk so I had beer all night! Talk about calories. Then, I had to go into work for a bit Friday so I was in at 8:00. I can drink or I can skip sleep--NOT BOTH! I felt like crap all day yesterday. I had that hangover where my tummy was so upset all I wanted to do was eat and hope I could keep something down to help settle it. With it being Friday during Lent I had no good food in my house that I could eat. So, I downed an entire box of Velveeta shells & cheese--approx. 1000 calories! But today is a new day! I guess I'll go shovel snow. THat's a good work-out!
  6. Thanks Heidi! I can't wait to hear your review! We leave in 98 days and I've got so much to do!!
  7. We're in Kentucky and have about 8" on the ground right now and it's still snowing. It does snow here, but usually only 1 or 2 times per year and never over 3-4". People here don't handle the weather very well. The grocery stores were packed yesterday! There are no milk or bread or eggs left. Apparently the key to survival is French toast! I want to go play in it! FI and I might make a snow man. If we do, I'll post pictures!
  8. Welcome! There are lots of ROR brides here. I'm going with the Travel Authority and really like the service I've received so far. Be sure to check out the TAs on the board Tammy(host), TA Jennifer, etc (sorry to anyone I don't know by name!) as they are familiar with weddings!
  9. that was one of my biggest concerns in finding a resort. FI has lesbian family members and I have a few gay friends coming. Also, there are a few singles who are planning to room together. Good to know Sandals changed their policy. At the time I booked I was told no, they wouldn't allow same sex so that is a big reason I chose Couples.

    I'm here!

Welcome to the forum! Let us know how we can help!
  11. I'm buying one dress for a BM who is having some hard financial times right now. Ironically, she makes the most moeny out of all of us. But, she has the farthest to travel. I'm not telling the other BMs that I'm paying. Also, I chose a rather inexpensive dress $110 so I don't feel that bad about asking the other two to pay. The last wedding I was in the dress was $300 without alterations!
  12. My gym just is starting the classes on Saturday! I'm planning on going. Too bad it is only Sat and Sun. I'll let you know how it goes!
  13. I did pretty well today. No workout but I wasn't bad with eating. My BFF from Germany leaves tomorrow so it will be easier to stick with a schedule when she is gone, though I hate to think about her leaving. We are meeting some friends a bar tonight that has the best cheese fries known to man. I need to resist and/or dance my ass off to justify it!
  14. Vanilla, but if it is available i choose a fresh banana shake, There's this place not too far from me and they make shake from real ice cream and fresh bananas! OMG I want one now! Yari, I think you're trying to sabotage the BDW Biggest Loser Club! Thong or regular panties? FI boxers or briefs? I like boy-shorts or bikinis for everyday. FI swears by UnderArmour boxer-briefs. I tease him that his underwear costs more than mine!
  15. To keep someone I care about alive - parents, FI, future baby, etc.
  16. Miss Cathrine..You didn't answer the question...Who would you choke? I'd have to say FBIL's fiancee. I really like her but her wedding (3 f@#&ing weeks before ours is causing all kinds of trouble. When is the last time you were intoxicated? (I'm working on it right now!)
  17. I love when FI wraps his arms around me and nuzzles my neck! I also love when he plays with my hair or cradles my head when we hug--it makes me feel safe. He is a little gassy & stinky sometimes and it pisses me off! I get so mad I don't want to be near him! Not necessarily at romantic moments, but the thought that someone can smell that bad makes me want to run far, far away. I also hate when there is no foreplay, or the 1.239 seconds of foreplay--I kissed you then grabbed your boob, it's time to get naked!
  18. Yeah, the chair thing is interesting. My half sister is a little special. She just has no personality! It's like pulling teeth to have a conversation with her! All you get are mumbled one word answers! And she's into this goth movement thing that I just don't get! FI has an aunt who is totally insane. At the last family function, she cornered me and told me everything she had to eat that day and compared it to everything she had eaten on her first date with FI's uncle. This is also the woman who bought dog toys, from PetsMart, for all of the kids for Christmas because they were just so cute! Controversial question: Would you rather have a child with 1) a physical disability 2) a mental disability 3) who is homosexual? I would pick #3. I'd be the first one marching in the parade!
  19. Day 1 went ok. I ate a tiny breakfast because I went to try my sample dress on for a friend. I have coined the term "morning tummy" when you wake up and the tummy is still a little flat. Anyway I was trying to suck in as much as possible and the sample dress that is smaller than my dress almost zipped all the way! It was very exciting! Especially when you compare it to where the zipper was the day I bought it. SO to celebrate we went to the Mexican restaurant across the street for lunch. I did pretty well resisting the chips. I ordered vegetarian fajitas that were so great and filling I didn't even have to eat the tortillas!
  20. Welcome! It's great that you are helping plan!
  21. Welcome! I'm a Jamaica bride too! Have you chosen a resort yet?
  22. What I want most for the wedding is my full set of dishware, I don't want to have to complete the set! Money is #1 because of the practicality and the electric mattress pad is #3. Who is not coming to your wedding that disappoints you most? ~My good friend who has the money but whose DH is being a butt. I'm also thinking the plane to our connection city is too small for her and she is scared to fly.

  25. Quote: Thanks, Erin. I found this vendor: Faux Fake Pashmina Shawl Wrap Scarf Wholesale USA Canada Rainbow They sell on ebay and have an excellent feedback record, but I don't personally know anyone who has used them... Thanks! I'll check into that! I contacted one other e-bay vendor and the best price I was quoted was $14 each plus shipping for acrylic!
