  1. so i got a call from my travel agent today. our flight was pushed back by quite a few hours resulting in us getting to mexico hours later than our families. so now we may end up flying in a day earlier. ultimately, getting there later on tuesday isn't a huge deal, but if we can swing an extra day, why not! i'm glad atleast that this crap is happenning now, and not months from now.
  2. everything is so expensive, but i can't help it... i'm obsessed.
  3. i sent stds and invites to everyone because i felt that it was up to them, not me, to determine whether or not they can or have the money to go. in some cases, i've been pleasantly surprised.
  4. good job morgan! Quote: Originally Posted by lea green Excuse me! but waht "oot bag" means? I looked in the dictionary and didn't find the word. Is it some kind of a slang? 5. agreed. a lot of people ask why i'm flying all the way to mexico to get married in a garden.. and my answer is uninvited boobies!
  6. 3.If I have only 2 guest then I am covered with their OOT bags if not I need to start ordering the monogramed bags by april. I am hoping that someone from my side of the family comes. aww i hope someone from your family comes. that must be a little tough. 4. Considering doing BD photos (back to number 1) i was flipflopping on this for the longest time. i finally decided not to do it. instead i bought fi a really nice citizens dive watch and a monogrammed leather travel organizer. i went for the practical. fi has never even heard of bd pics so he doesn't know he's missing out! 7. Work on some wedding hair styles me too. my parents own a salon so you think i'd have the nicest hair ever. but i can't even get an appointment!!
  7. i'm in burlington county, but can travel to camden or gloucester county as well. you?
  8. i need help finding a tailor in south jersey. don't get me wrong, there are tons, but i'm really hesitant to go anywhere without a personal recommendation. anyone know of a great place?

  10. hey everyone. us july brides are about 4 months out. what are you currently working on? right now my biggest concern is getting the invites out. my original goal was march 1 but now i want them out by saturday. mostly everything is cut out but i still need to assemble. bought my postage today and luckily my rsvp date is before the postage change. here's a glimpse. the next big thing is alterations for my dress and my sisters' dresses. here's morgan- one of my mohs. her dress is a little big. i have much more to do- so updates to come!
  11. i know the most about oahu over any other island so here's what i think. there is a great bungalow hotel on the north shore of a oahu called ke'iki. there are a number of reasons why i like it. they filmed parts of the movie the big bounce there and owen wilson supposedly loves it there. it's right on the water. i've seen whales right off the shore there. i'm also into shell hunting (not leisurely strolling. i'm talking 5am in the dark with a flashlight hunting. haha) and i found 3 shells each worth $100 there. they're very private and the grounds are beautiful. there are hammocks everywhere. and i had lunch with eddie vedder (well he was at another table...) a few miles down the road at a lunch truck. the down side is that the beach is more of a cove and the current gets very rough and unswimmable there, but you could face that problem all over the north shore. also, my overall recommendation for hawaii in general is to stay at two hotels if you're going to be there for 2 weeks. i would do one week in a bungalow on one end of an island. and the other week in a really nice hotel on the other end. after we stayed in the ke'iki bungalows, we followed it up with a few nights in the hawaiian hilton waikiki, which is amazing. hawaii really does go from one extreme to another in terms of peace and quiet in a bungalow to hip skyrise hotels. so i wouldn't choose- i'd do both.
  12. very cool template. on a side note, i was reading it and i love kapolei! my grandparents live there so that's where we always stay, and we go to ko'olina a lot. it's beautiful. but still practical because of the parking (which can be very hard to find in oahu). so.. good choice of wedding location!!
  13. i'll be getting married beforehand. it just works out better for us this way. our parents know it's happenning, but no one else.
  14. i go back and forth on this all the time... but ultimately i think i'm going to let go of this one. with a small ceremony, everyone knows who everyone is. and these dw ceremonies tend to be pretty short so there isn't as much of a need . so, i voted no.
  15. watching anthony bourdain on the travel channel right now and he's in hawaii going to the paradise cove luau... sooooo if it's good enough for a guy who can go anywhere he pleases, i think your guests may enjoy it!
  16. everything is so beautiful and classy- great job!!
