I think you did the right thing. The less stress the better. I'm with a lot of others and am waiting to see if anyone comes, I realise it is expensive for people. My three daughters are bridesmaid and we are paying for them so they definitely are coming. At the moment FI doesn't have a best man, still waiting for him to book and were not sure about witnesses as you can't have blood relatives so that puts our chilrden out (two will be 18,17, so over here, they could have been witnesses) we will wait and see, I'm just looking forward to getting married :-)

Were getting married in July too. We (I) have sent out the invitations (had a few replies, the only people going so far are me, DH, our three children (my bridesmaids) and one of my daughters friends, 6 in total, which is what we expected so not upset) Dresses are on order (mine and all bridesmaids) Holiday booked Judge and day booked Legal docs can be started next month DH clothes to sort out (which he is insisting can be done the week before we fly!!!) I can't think of anything else to do, if any more people go then perhaps will need to do more but can't think of anything else at the moment. Or am I just tooooo laid back about it all

We invited everyone that we would have invited to a wedding at home. So far there are only two people outside of our immediate family (me, DH and our three children) that are going. We realised this would happen but we thought, even if they couldn't be there, its nice to be asked. Hope this helps. Valerie

We chose ocean blue because it was a good price, the wedding was free and it looked like a really good resort for our three children. Something to do for all of them as we have two teenagers (18,17) and a 7 year old. They have a bowling alley, climbing wall, kids club and a disco. I'm sure there are other things aswell so there should be lots for them to do and of course lots of bars for us!! (Although i'm usually in bed by 9pm with the 7 year old, but perhaps not this holiday as its my wedding!!!!)

I'm with manda0812, my three girls are my bridesmaids and they seem to like everything I suggest to them so its been easy and if they hadn't they would just have to do what 'mummy' says (bearing in mind they are 18, 17 and 7) I hope you sort it out with your bridesmaids as you don't need the hassle.

I don't think I will be doing the bouquet toss, we will just keep the flowers in our room as we get there on the monday and married on the thursday so still have about week and half there, so we can enjoy the flowers (that was my 7 year old's idea as she will be in the same room as us and likes 'pretty' things around her)

My boyfriends sister just went into one of the bars, asked the man sitting playing the keyboard (he had a microphone) to see if there were any single people about and she just threw hers to them (and me of course). Someone she didn't know got it but was really really pleased so you could try this if you can't think of anything else.
