Besides my coats, my shoes are the only thing in the closet! I think it is my favorite "room" in my house!!
  2. Mine is at home but I will try to remember to take a picture tonight. It had a beaded shoe on the top and said something about meeting my prince and the shoe fitting or something like that. I am a shoe freak so the theme was perfect. One of the questions on the "How well do you know Melissa" quiz was "how many shoes do I own?" The recipe idea was great and my MOH who is throwing me another shower locally (my SIL threw the first one in Ohio where I am from) is going to use the same recipe cards so I can get even more delicious recipes.
  3. Hi Sherry. Welcome to the forum!
  4. Hi Dianna. Welcome to the forum. There are plenty of ROR brides on here to help you plan your big day!
  5. I am keeping my bags rather simple. The items that I am including are as follows: Welcome letter Timeline of events Bottled water (this is always overpriced in the rooms) Snacks (we are not staying at an all-inclusive) Gum (don't want any alcohol breath!) Tylenol (more for the people that may be hungover than those getting sick) Frisbees (FI wanted these) After sun lotion (most people will bring sunscreen but forget about the aloe) I think that is it. OOT bags are really just personal preference but I have enjoyed receiving them in the past. I think most people would appreciate even just a welcome letter.
  6. That is too cute. Have they figured Santa Clause out yet?
  7. Hello and welcome to the forum.

  9. How exciting. Congratulations. The floor plans look great.
  10. It is kind of wierd because I am on the other side of that. I have so much to do still but I am not stressed at all. I am sure all hell will break loose soon. Everyone tells me I am way too calm.

    Newbie here

Hi Alexia. Welcome to the forum and best of luck with all your planning.
  12. Wow that does seem like a lot. I paid $220 for mine and I had the top taken in and a bustle done. I feel like I was totally ripped off and I don't even like the bustle. I am having a lady I know redo it. Do you think they charge more for more expensive gowns figuring that if a bride has enough money to spend on a more expensive gown then she has more money to spend on alterations? That is how my crazy mind works. I didn't even wear my e-ring went I met with a bunch of vendors because I thought they would charge me more after seeing it. Crazy I know
  13. Hi Kelly. Welcome to the forum. Glad you found us.
  14. Is the money sitting in a high interest bearing account? If so, the longer you keep it in there the more money you can make on it. You just have to discipline yourself not to spend it. However, my FI is the same way and we paid our deposits well before they were due. He just likes to get it out of the way. One less thing to think about.

    Hello!

Hi Amber. Welcome to the forum. I have been to both countries and I guess it depends on what part you were looking at but I loved Punta Cana. I don't think you can go wrong with either place though. Good luck!
  16. Hello and welcome. Everything will definitely fall into place. Best of luck with your planning.
  17. Hi Tiffany. Welcome to the forum. You will find all the information you need to help plan your perfect destination wedding.
  18. What a fantastic story. Congrats on finding each other again and best of luck with your wedding plans.
  19. Your ring is beautiful all on its own. I do not think a band is necessary. I have a 3-stone princess cut ring and have the same problem as you as far as the middle sticking out. My FI really wanted me to get a band so I did and now I will be wearing me e-ring on my right hand. At times though, I am sure I will wear my e-ring on my left hand and ditch the band.
